บท 314: Good things

After Helian Chen and Alice left the place together, the security teams of both the families retreated silently. 

It was only Diana, Maxim, Hazel and Qin Zehan left in the dining room. 

And suddenly, Diana realized that the earlier breakfast with her parents was not that awkward after all. 

The silence stretched between them till Maxim broke the tension in the air, ''Mom.'' 

Hazel who seemed to be thinking about something snapped out of her reverie when she heard Maxim's voice, ''I...'' she looked at Qin Zehan, cuing for him to explain things but the man remained as frigid as stone, his gaze focused on Maxim. 

There were a myriad of emotions that played on his face. Astonishment, happiness, surprise, sadness, anger, indignance and he felt a lot more that he could not even bring himself to describe.
