John was staring at the Quantum Generator with greed in his eyes. The Quantum Generator in front of him was not the old version. Nope! It was the latest version with some updates done by Donald. He was staring through a glass at Quantum Generator, which was in the next room supposedly a Quantum lab.
The Quantum Generator that John was looking at was not very different in terms of looks than the regular ones but it is soooo much different that it should have another name now. It actually had another name but he did not see that.
John was in for a surprise since the Quantum generator that he was looking at was actually just a part of a Quantum Teleportation Machine!!!!
Yup! Not a Quantum Generator…..
This was a side project that Donald was working on but he abandoned in the middle. The reason was that he was trying to teleport without using a receiver and his clone was teleported into a wormhole into the quantum space. which in turn fried his Quantum Generator. He fixed it but never used it again.
People mostly think that teleportation is the same as Inter-dimensional Portals which allows us to move from one place to another. Ahhhh! Wrong!
In teleportation the matter breaks into atoms and then it re-constructs it on another end where the receiver of the machine is located. While in the Inter-dimensional Portals it just makes a tunnel between space. It is not a spatial crack but a spatial tunnel between two points. Best part is that it does not need a receiver only generator for which it needs Quantum particles hence the Quantum Generator.
Sorry to ruin The Endgame but time travel .... Not Gonna Happen Period…!
John is not aware of the information above because he is not a Quantum Engineer and Hive Chip is not fully installed now.

As he entered the room there was a large hologram panel which turned on. He could see several icons appearing in the mid air. It was a hologram screen, nothing he hadn't seen before or anyone in this era for that matter.
Told you it was total Altered Carbon in this universe or one could say several thousand years after what Altered Carbon has shown us. This universe was so developed that most of the things that are pipe dreams for us were already achieved. Virtual Reality done, Quantum Teleportation done, Inter-dimensional Portal done, Light Engine Done, Spatial Jump done, World Peace never gonna happen…!!!
Since world peace has been upgraded to intergalactic peace so it is never gonna happen.
John was looking at the hologram screen but could not understand anything. Moving on he got on a platform and just in front of the teleportation chamber. He could see a chamber but he was not aware of its use. Later he got out of Quantum Lab and made his way to the main computer from where he had to get the information on the tech Donald was working on. As he reached he opened a panel below the desk.
It was a hologram computer as well so it does not need a monitor, keyboard or mouse. It only had a CPU installed in the desk or we could say it was a CPU with the size of a desk. As he opened the back panel there was a port given to connect, It was there for emergency situations. He entered the USB into the port but before he could do his work. He heard something in his head.
'Installation completed …. Connecting Hive Mind with the user... Connected .. Hive Mind ready for use.'
John was confused because usually there was a company intro or chip number whenever it was installed. But before he could proceed further he heard someone running toward the lab.

Donald was in his room trying to sleep after a long work. His body was enhanced so it didn't need too much rest but he was working from last 1 month without resting. He had a habit of turning off his A.I. chip before sleeping….
But today after having a fight with his son he was restless and couldn't sleep. Turning one side to another on his bed he decided to speak with his manager and ask him about Triumph's recent activities. He had a hunch that Triumph was planning something bad for him. As we stood up from his bed to grab a coffee and turn on his A.I chip to speak with his manager.
In this age where technology reigned supreme, laws did the same. Long back in early stages of when the world was united the leaders of that time realized that as technology advances the government and laws can not restrict humans and after cloning was successful it was proved. Because artificially created clones had their own thoughts and will. They were intelligent as humans and sometimes even better. So they first passed that all the clones made by anyone should be biotechnically engineered with inbuilt A.I. chip.
It meant that clones were nothing more than robots with human appearance. Now there was a bigger issue to tackle and that was governance. They know they can not keep the laws and expect everyone to follow them. So they made a A.I. with programming to make sure that that future government does not send them to apocalypse due to ignorance. The world government is a council of selected representatives of different countries who are injected with a monitoring A.I. and it makes sure that they do not throw the world into oblivion. It was like a supervisor and adviser to them.
This is one of the reasons that normal humans can still work and earn a livelihood and grow with the ever advancing world.
