บท 32: Such an Idiot
Ulric spent the next few days hunting, questing, and searching for the last monster he was missing, there must be one he hadn't found as he needed to find rest of the recipes for the area to level up.
Paul spent time hanging out around Mr Bonds office, just walking around in the fresh air, and learning about how many laws his aunt and cousin had broken, the company had been in touch and apologized profusely, in exchange for not suing them they had not only provided his bank and game accounts treasury level security, and put Mr Bonds on retainer as his personal lawyer indefinitely, also they confirmed that Reddgar was in fact his cousin even though he knew this he was glad of the confirmation, as for his aunt they were not able to find her in the game although she certainly would be, she would never leave her 'precious baby' without mummy's protection.
Paul still didn't blame the company, his cousin may be as bright as a bag of bricks, but he knew that his aunt was smart, manipulative, and selfish, the only thing that could get to her was her son, and Paul planned to make his life a misery sooner or later, which would draw her out, but first he needed to be powerful enough, and for that he had to level up.
After logging back in he once again checked his list of recipes, he was certain he hadn't missed any monster as he had six recipes, he took a look at the complete list, roasted rabite, poached kame eggs.... he face-palmed, it was staring him right in the face, Island Pie!,
"i'm such an idiot how could this have taken me so long?"
Ruth looked at him confused,
"I have been trying yo figure out a puzzle, and the answer had been staring me right in the face," he explained in an exasperated voice,
Ruth gave a sort laugh, "aw honey, we all go through that as some point, sometimes you gotta ignore the forest if ya wanna see the trees,"
Ulric nodded "true, true, thanks Ruth"
"it's no trouble," she excused herself as something in the kitchen started to bubble,
he opened his inventory and looked at what he had to work with, all thin strips of meat, similar taste, an idea popped into his mind and he called out,
"Hey Ruth, you got a spare stove i can use?"
"sure hon, come on in," she invited,
He grabbed a small pot, an onion, and some spices, he filled the pot and grated the onion, he then added 1 portion of each of the six ingredients to the pot with the onion, he put the lid on and let it simmer, simple.

He smiled, FINALLY! he turned to Ruth and handed her the bowl of Broth,
"here, for letting me use the stove, give it a try i want to see what you think,"
After a bit of cajoling she accepted the Broth and drank it, her eyes lit up,
"wow hon, that's the best food i've had round here in a long time, you should open your own place,"
Ulric was surprised, he had never though of that, on the market he had no control but if he had his own place? he could really make himself powerful, but that would take research and would have to be done carefully, but for now he had a more immediate task that needed to be done his next subclass.
