บท 22: Chapter 21: Gift
This was expected by Yang Feng but he didn't think he would be the first person to conquer a village.
Just as Yang Feng was about to order to regroup another notification popped up.
{System Notification: Congratulations on being the first person to conquer a village you have been personally rewarded by the system. Please check your reward}
This naturally surprised Yang Feng even in the past life he has never been personally rewarded by the system.
Yang Feng knew a personal reward by the system won't be simple as such he had high expectation.
When Yang Feng checked the reward it was a gift box and when he clicked on the box a notification popped up.
{System notice: Would you like to open the box??}
"Yes" As soon as Yang Feng agreed a black fog came from out of nowhere and when Yang Feng tried to avoid the black fog he noticed he couldn't move at all and all of a sudden his eyes started to pain.
For Yang Feng, it was like he was being punished in hell.
"So am I going to die??" Yang Feng asked himself while barely being able to control himself.
Other soldiers noticed him being in pain and tried to approach him but they couldn't do so by the back fog which surrounded Yang Feng. Their leader was in pain yet they couldn't do anything but watch their leader suffer.
The pain he felt in his eyes was unbearable yet Yang Feng didn't want to give up at least not now.
"Ahhhhh" Yang Feng shouted in pain he was unable to bear the pain anymore.
Seeing their leader in pain Ling tian and other soldiers tried to rescue him yet they failed.
Several minutes passed and Yang Feng collapsed slowly closing his eyes.
When Yang Feng opened his eyes he noticed he was in a beautiful place surrounded by flowers.
The wind blew and the flowers danced. It was truly a magnificent place.
Yang Feng plucked a flower and asked: "Is this heaven??"
Just as Yang Feng was admiring the place. Suddenly the place was replaced with endless darkness and the flower in Yang Feng's hand withered away.
"WHERE AM I??" Yang Feng shouted yet there was no one who was listening to him.
Yang Feng walked trying to figure things out. Walking in the endless darkness seem to get him out nowhere.
Yang Feng grew tired of walking "How much time has passed since I started to walk??" and started to rest "Why am I even walking??" he asked.
An hour had passed and yet nothing appeared.
A week passed and it was same as always nothing.
Slowly as time went a month had passed
Yang Feng didn't even know how much time had passed yet he hoped someone would appear.
Yang Feng was bored as hell "SERIOUSLY IS NO ONE HERE??" He shouted but suddenly he noticed something it was a figure of a strange being maybe he was not a human
"IS SOMEBODY THERE??" Yang Feng shouted towards the strange figure yet the unknown figure stood motionless.
Yang Feng started to run towards the unknown figure. The strange figure stood motionless yet he kept getting farther and farther away.
Yang Feng grew angry and said "So you are going to play a game with me huh?? If so" and started to run even faster.
Yet it was meaningless Yang Feng never got near towards the strange figure.
Yang Feng ran yet he never got near and whenever he thought he was getting near the strange figure he would get even further as though he could hear the thoughts of Yang Feng.
Yang Feng was immensely tired from all the running and whenever he thought of resting for a while a thought would come in his mind the strange figure would disappear if he started to rest.
Yang Feng chased and chased after the strange figure yet he never caught up.
After running for who knows how much Yang Feng couldn't handle anymore and collapsed from exhaustion.
The strange figure who stood motionless turned towards Yang Feng and suddenly not even in a blink of an eye the strange figure suddenly appeared before exhausted Yang Feng.
Yang Feng barely turned his head and put energy he had and said "You bastard you made me run so ru--"Yang Feng had fainted.
The strange figure watched Yang Feng motionlessly.
A long time had passed yet the strange figure stood without moving even a bit but a voice came "Is he the one to inherit me??"
