At first it was weird for the guys to know that Jason was now a part of the drama club. They weren't sure how it would affect him and practice.
But after a few days and seeing that the only difference made was the fact that Jason now showed up to practice right on time instead of being early they gradually got used to it.
During these days Jason had the varsity team get more adjusted with their playbook as they continued to practice their different plays and how to run them.
Although Danilo and Alex were able to get a feel for it relatively easy because of their natural talent and understanding of the game some of the other 7th graders weren't as lucky.
Sam, and Frank struggled as they tried to familiarize themselves with the team's different sets and how to run them.
Even Donte, who had played as a starter on his previous team, seemed to have a hard time getting used to Jefferson's playbook.
Only one chapter today guys. Sorry about that. My mind was just in a different space today considering it's the one year anniversary of Kobe and Gigi's passing. I thought that I had already came to terms with the tragedy but thinking back to that day still gets my stomach in knots. I had never felt this way about the passing of a celebrity before. But Kobe was the man that I had looked up to for as long as I could remember. I tried my best to model my work ethic and dedication as closely as I could to Kobe's. His mentality was an inspiration that honestly helped me get through some of my darkest moments. I know that it may sound silly that I cared so much for a person that didn't even know that I existed but that's just how it ended up being. Thank you guys for reading. Stay safe out there. RIP to the two Mambas. Gone but never forgotten.
