บท 2: Beta Parents and Omega Brother
Alex parents are both Betas. This happen very rarely, a beta man and woman giving birth to Omega, and in this instance twin Omegas.
So, this caused a sensation in their hometown.
Specially, since one is a male Omega, in statistics they just appear 2 in every 10 Omega births.
And Omega birth are not common. Omegas are just 10% of the population. That means male Omegas are just 2% of the total population of the Federation.
So, Alexander's birth was a celebration and Alex was just a part of it, a side dish if you should say.
So, at the back of Alex's mind, she would always wish that her brother wasn't born with her, then maybe her parents would actually care more for her.
But alas, we can never have everything we wish for.
So, Alex got used to how she was treated.
She was not treated as badly as other female omegas. But she was not treated with unconditional love by her parents.
They were always an invisible gab between them and their calculating in a certain aspects.
They would always talk about how much Alex would be priced in the Omega Dowry System. And it has always hurt Alex tremendously over the years.
So, when she heard that her brother was getting married, she was a bit jealous.
An Omega can be married at the age of 16. But her parents hold-on to their son for two years more to fetch a higher price. Even when he was just 16, Alexander has offers as high 2 M.
And she really can't fault others for it.
Alexander is very beautiful, even for a male Omega standards.
He was dainty, soft spoken, with bright blue eyes, pink lips, and dark blonde hair.
He was the perfect image of Male Omega.
And Alex parents were so happy cause an Mid-Alpha paid 3.5 M for Alexanders hand in marriage. A million more that what they had expected.
Alex was not particularly close with her brother, because of the favoritism their parents always have shown, this caused Alexander to expect that attention is given to him freely and he doesn't have to work for it.
And he has the right to feel that way, because since birth he was the center of attention.
When they started school, Alphas were allover him.
Even, those that Alex likes would only look at Alexander.
So, she resented her brother.
It even intesified when Alexander slept with Alex's boyfriend.
Alexander has been sleeping around since he stepped in Highschool, and he thought it would be fun to sleep with Alex boyfriend in sophomore year just to pranks her. But, he never thought that it became the last string that broke the camel's back.
Since then Alex relationship with her brother became more strained that it came to the point that most of the time she's either in her room or in her friends house just to distance from him.
But, her parents were still good to her. They gave her a roof over her head, clothing, food, and educated her by putting her in a school.
That's were Alex is when she heard of her brothers nuptials, in the Academy.
She is in her freshman year in college.
So, they weren't so bad.
It just was not enough for Alex.
