Leaving the office where we turned in our quest, I went over to the request counter and they gave both of us the one gold reward for doing the dungeon clear quest. After finishing up with the request the two of us left the adventurers guild and headed for the crafters guild. Entering inside the building the two of us went to the main counter.
Walking up to the counter an orange haired cat-kin girl with big blue eyes greeted us, "Hi, welcome to the crafters guild, how may I be of assistance to you?"
"Hi, I would like to rent out a room to do some leather-work, would that be possible at all?" I said in a smooth matter.
"Of course, but first you have to be registered with the guild to do so. In the chance that's not the case then all you have to do is fill out a form with your name, or moniker, as well as your crafts that you are proficient in." The cute cat-kin girl said this in a nice and amicable manner that made it really easy to like her, as I couldn't help but smile at her amiability.
"That's not a problem at all, thank you so much, we'll be right back as we finish the forms, thank you." As I said this both of us moved a little further down the counter as we filled out the form, once that was finished both of us went back to the receptionist.
"Alright, here are the forms, is there anything else that you need?" I asked her.
"Nope, that will be it, the rooms cost 10 copper coins an hour to rent for leatherworking, unless you need additional facilities."
As the cat-kin girl said this I nodded my head affirming that we would only need the facilities for leatherworking, as she gave us a key to a spare workshop we started to head to it.
We walked into the workshop and were greeted with a few extra leather working instruments. Thankfully I was able to identify them and their use with the system. All they did was speed along the process of tanning and such through the use of mana. As I pulled out all of my cheaper materials, aka non magical beast, I started getting to work on processing the leather into both soft and hard leather depending on their uses.
From processing of the hides into leather I was surprisingly able to level up my tanning/skinning to beginner 3. Thankfully with the help of magic the process of tanning, which normally would take weeks, could be done in minutes as long as you had the mana. Even then though, processing so many regular wolf pelts took two hours. Part of the way through the process, I told Aurelia that she didn't have to stay, seeing how long it was taking. In reply she told me that she enjoyed just being with and talking to me, so she stayed with me in the end.
'I should probably shoot off a message to Xantos, because of how long all of this will take,' I thought to myself realizing I still had a lot to do.
-Hey Xantos, just letting you know I'm working on leveling up my leather-working skill it will probably take all day tomorrow and the day after as well.
-Don't worry I have a lot to get sorted out with the guild before I can even think of leaving, being in this branches upper echelon, so you're good.
-Okay, so we'll meet up in front of the gate in three days?
-Ya that sounds good see you then.
"So it sounds like Xantos has a few things he has to take care of before he can head out with the guild," I said to Aurelia as I got the reply from Xantos.
"Well that sounds really good, we actually have time to be able to get all our crafting done then,' Aurelia responded to me with a sigh of relief that was also apparent on her face.
Following this I started to spend the next six hours working on all of the Infernal beast pelts, by the time I had finished them it was already late in the evening. My Tanning/Skinning skill even ranked up to Beginner 7 when I finished them all, leaving only the Demonic Bear pelt, as well as the Infernal Tiger pelt to do at another time.
The next day all my time was spent making cutouts for different armor pieces, making sure to stick to leather from the same beasts for each set. This was fairly easy to do, especially with all the practice I got with crafting in VR servers focused on learning crafting with time dilation. The next day I spent creating all of the leather armor from the pieces that were set aside. When each piece was finished Aurelia would come in with a matching Beast Core loaded into her Pen Wand and start enchanting them with an auto fit rune as well as fitting enchantments for the piece. On the morning of the third day we were all done with the armors and met up with Xantos in the morning.
Thank you for reading my book. It has been a great experience being able to write this book. Thank you all for the support that you have shown in just reading my book. Remember I will always take critisisms in how I can improve, and if you have ideas on where to go with the story I will seriously consider it, as well as character ideas.
