บท 117: Lively atmosphere at Mo mansion
Yu Chen was thankful to him, but she was also surprised. She said, "Why do you have shoes in different sizes? Are you planning on opening a shop?"
Mo Kio climbed down from the rack and went to another cupboard which was full of jackets. As he began choosing one, he said, "They are so that I can dress up my friends when they come over. Did you see how dashing Xia looked?"
It was then that Chen remembered that Si Xia was indeed looking very handsome while he was sitting downstairs. He had on a checked maroon and black shirt and black denim jeans. Though it was just casual wear, Yu Chen had to admit that Mo Kio's sense of fashion was great and Si Xia carried it really well.
Yu Chen came back from her thoughts when Mo Kio snapped his fingers in front of her face. He had brown boots in his hand and said, "How long due you plan on daydreaming about Xia? I admit he looked yummy in my clothes but control your thoughts."
Yu Chen blushed and snapped, "Shut up." They both pulled on shoes. Yu Chen wore the blue sneakers and Kio wore some brown boots.
After they were done, Mo Kio looked at Chen up and down. He said, "I've got to admit, my mother's sense of fashion is good. Not at par with me, but good. Maybe I'll take her up as my apprentice."
Yu Chen had had enough of this boy. She held his ear and started pulling him by it. Out of the closet, out the door and onto the stairs. Mo Kio laughed and tried to speak, "Ow Chen. Sorry. Ow. Chen leave. Oww hurts. Chen!!"
While they were going down the stairs, Chen saw the maid Wei come up the stairs. She said, "Young master....!!!!!!"
Yu Chen: "Hey Wei."
Mo Kio: "Hey, Oww. Hey Wei."
Wei: "....."
Yu Chen pulled Mo Kio all the way into the living room where where Si Xia was sitting with Mrs. Mo. Upon seeing the two, Yu Chen felt embarrassed and hurriedly let go of Mo Kio's ear.
Mo Kio put both his hands on his ear and said, "Oww Chen. That hurt like hell!!!" He turned to the two sitting there and said, "Say something to her!!!"
Si Xia: "Good work."
Mrs. Mo: "Pull his hair also if you want. He really needs to be disciplined."
Yu Chen: "....pfft."
Mo Kio: "...."
Mrs. Mo stood up and pulled Mo Kio's other ear so that it was as red as the first one. She said, "Look, no need to worry. They match now."
Mo Kio: "Owww mom. You don't love me anymore."
Mrs. Mo: "That's because I have found myself a great daughter." She went and put a hand around Yu Chen's shoulder ang led her into the dining hall.
Mo Kio: "Ohh, what socery is this? My own mother has been taken away from me!!!"
Si Xia stood up and pulled Mo Kio to the dining room by his collar. Mo Kio: "What's with people dragging me around? I can walk on my own, you know."
The atmosphere was pretty lively as the four of them had breakfast and then the three kids said goodbye to Mrs. Mo and set out for the hospital.
