บท 94: Ready for the party
The dress was really pretty. It had a closed neck and started without any sleeves, completely exposing the colar bones. Next, it was a tight fit upto the waist from where many frills fell down. The cloth from the neck to the waist was pure white and below that, the frills the outer frills were made of net and the inner frills from cloth. They were interchangeably of black and white. Yu Chen looked at Hua.
"Hua, that dress is on another level."
Xi Hua looked at her phone, "No it isn't. Your dress is more beautiful and refined."
Yu Chen: "Yeah but this one tells a story."
Xi Hua: "What kind of a story?"
Yu Chen: "Let's save it for another time. I still need to find something to wear to the party."
Xi Hua: "What if...."
Yu Chen: "I'm not going shopping with you."
Xi Hua: "Wow, you were really fed up the last time. Anyway, that's not what I was suggesting. We can swap dresses."
Yu Chen: "Swap them?"
Xi Hua: "Yup. You wear mine and I'll wear this one."
Yu Chen: "Won't Yuan Zuan mind?"
Xi Hua: "Pshh, who cares about her. Let's exchange."
Yu Chen said, "Okay. Let me pack this so you can take it with you. By the way, why did you come?"
Xi Hua: "Oh I completely forgot. I wanted to take you shoe shopping."
Yu Chen: "No."
Xi Hua: "... Come on."
Yu Chen: "I don't want to be tortured again."
Xi Hua: ".....Okay. Let's make a deal."
Yu Chen looked at her and raised an eyebrow. Xi Hua said, "If you go shopping, I'll buy you shoes that match with the black and white dress."
Yu Chen: "I don't need you to buy me anything. Just promise me it won't take longer than half an hour."
Xi Hua began jumping up and down, "You're the best Chen. You're the best."
So the two girls went shoe shopping. Yu Chen bought a really pretty pair of white and black sandles that would go perfectly with the dress. Xi Hua, on the other hand, bought one pair of sandals and another pair of shoes. But true to her word, Hua did not take more than half an hour.
After shopping, the girls went to Hua's house to get the dress where Mrs. Xi insisted that Chen stayed for dinner. After dinner, she even asked their driver to drop Chen off.
After two more days, came the day of the party. The party was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and the school was closed for the day. Around five thirty, Chen began getting ready. She put on the dress, which was rather difficult, for she had to close the zipper all by herself. The dress dropped down to a little below her knees and looked breathtaking. Then she put on some light make-up and did her hair. Chen did not know what to do with her hair so she made a fishtail in the front so that her hair would not fall on her eyes. Then she combed the rest of her hair and decided to leave them open. After doing all this, she picked up her phone and saw that it was already seven. Chen hurriedly called Hua to ask her where she was. Hua's driver was dropping them off at the party.
