บท 85: Walking to the mall
As they ate, they talked about all sorts of stuff. But the main topic of discussion was Yu Chen's photo, that she uploaded today.
Chen got so annoyed that she asked all of them to shut up about the photo and the boy, otherwise no one was getting to eat her cooking again. Mo Kio and Huo Zenghai shut up and Xi Hua very tactfully changed the subject, "Chen, why do you wear oversized t-shirts so much."
Mo Kio: "Yeah, how many of them do you have?"
Yu Chen: "What's wrong with them? I like wearing t-shirts that are too big for me, and they are comfortable."
Huo Zenghai: "Fair point."
As they had finished the meal and pastries Kio had brought, they all sat around the living room.
Xi Hua: "Oh god, I'm so full."
Huo Zenghai: "Yeah Chen. Your cooking was delicious."
Mo Kio: "Why don't you do a part time job as a cook at my house? I'll pay you handsomely."
Yu Chen chuckled and said, "So what's the plan today?"
Xi Hua said excitedly, "Maybe we can go shopping." Yu Chen, for the first time in God knows how long, also seemed excited about the idea, "Yeah, let's go."
Mo Kio sat up, and asked, shocked, "The best part about being in a gang with you girls is that Chne hats shopping, so you don't do it that much. But what's happened today."
Yu Chen: "Duh. I hate shopping because I don't like wasting money."
Huo Zenghai: "Then you're not going to waste money now?"
Yu Chen: "Of course not. I need some new clothes for London."
Xi Hua: "So let's go."
Mo Kio looked at Zenghai, thinking that he could maybe help him out if this predicament, but Huo Zenghai was looking at Hua's face. He said, "Yeah, let's go."
Mo Kio: "Wait, you also want to go shopping?"
Huo Zenghai: "Why not? The girl's will enjoy it."
Mo Kio's face looked like he had just been asked to take a trip to hell, and pull Satan's hair. He said, "Fine, let's go."
Yu Chen looked at him and chuckled, "Wait a minute, let me change first."
Yu Chen went in her bedroom and changed. She wore white and purple stripped pants, and coupled it with a cute white top printed with beautiful pink flowers. It was a little chilly outside, so she decided to wear a hoody. She let her shoulder length hair down and pulled on her sneakers. Then she came out and announced, "I'm ready. Let's go."
The next thing that happened made her smile with nervousness. The three in her apartment were looking at her like they had never before seen her. She said, "Yeah guys, I have other clothes than oversized t-shirts. And I do sometimes dress up." Then she dragged all of them out of her apartment and closed the door. As they went down, Mo Kio said, "How are we going to go there, I brought my bike, but only one of you will be able to ride with me."
Huo Zenghai: "Chen, you go. Me and Hua can walk."
Yu Chen: "So that you get to spend some time alone with Hua?"
