บท 57: I really did not want to do this
Yu Chen: "And what if I do prove it?"
Mr. Zhen: "Then the same action will be taken against Miss Zhen."
Yu Chen: "Ok good."
Yuan Zuan: "Yu Chen, hurry up. I believe that you don't have anything and you are just trying to delay time. So get on with it."
Yu Chen: "Yes I will. But first, you said that I stole your code. So that means you wrote the code. Right?"
Yuan Zuan flipped her hair in response.
Yu Chen rolled her eyes and continued, "So could you tell us all, what was the code about? We don't need any details, just the main gist of the code will do."
Yuan Zuan's face lost all it's colour. She looked around at all the people staring her and said, "You're just trying to frame me. Of course you would know. You would definitely have read my code and know what it's all about."
Yu Chen: "Well yeah I do. But you should also know. I mean who forget what they write a code about?" she looked around and some people laughed while other stared at Yuan Zuan.
Yuan Zuan was now wracking her brain. She finally took a guess, "It was a code for an app."
Yu Chen: "What kind of an app?"
Yuan Zuan's face scrunched up. She mumbled, "It was a website to um....to umm.... download.... download apps."
Yu Chen's face broke into such a grin that Yuan Zuan was scared. She said, "No. It was a game. Actually it was a car racing game. Now, could the judges be so kind to check the code submitted under little Yu and see what kind of a code was that."
Mr. Zhen nodded and checked it. After clicking away for some time and then reading for some more time, he announced, "It's a code for a racing game."
Now Yuan Zuan's face had lost all colour. She looked around the room in which everyone was looking at her like they could kill her. They all understood what it was like to work really hard on a code. And on top of that, to be accused of stealing your own code.
Yuan Zuan wanted to say something and opened her mouth, but Yu Chen cut in, "Well this clearly doesn't prove anything. I might have stolen the code and read it, and I guess it's pretty normal to write a code and forget what it's about. Isn't it right Miss Yuan?"
Yuan Zuan looked like she wanted to dig a hole to hide her face.
Yu Chen continued, "You know what Zuan, I really did not want to use this. That's why I called to warn you. I really hoped that you would have a change of heart or at least chicken out. But you gave me no choice."
Saying this, Yu Chen took out a pen drive from her jeans. She went and inserted it in the laptop, connected the laptop to the speakers in the hall and pushed the play button.
"So here's what we are gonna do....." Yuan Zuan's voice rang out into the room, telling all of her plan, including how she was going to humiliate Chen and steal her future.
