บท 38: Working at the Mo mansion

Upon reaching there, the head butler came to welcome them at the entrance. "Good afternoon, Miss Yu and emm..." his voice trailed off looking at Huo Zenghai. He hurriedly introduced himself, "Huo Zenghai." "Mr. Huo. Young master is waiting for you both in his study with Miss Xi." They both nodded and followed him. He came to a stop in front of an old door with beautiful carvings. Uncle Leo knocked and said, "Young master, your guests are here."

The door was pulled open and there stood Mo Kio. He called them both in and asked Uncle Leo to bring up something for the four of them to have lunch. Then he came inside and led them to the attached room witch had a couch, some chairs and tables. There sat Xi Hua, playing with her phone. Seeing them she got up and said, "Where were you both. Did you crawl here." Yu Chen rolled her eyes and replied, "No. But I do agree that you guys flew here." Xi Hua laughed. And Mo Kio cut in, "Well you see, we couldn't start working as we did not have any idea what you were writing a code for. Care to enlighten us?" He asked Yu Chen.

So Yu Chen took out her laptop and showed and explained them everything, She told them about the basic idea and what had she written until now. She also had a detailed description about what was left in the code. She was almost done explaining when there was a knock at the door. Then came in Uncle Leo with a trolley full of dishes. Mo Kio asked him to serve them on the table inside as Yu Chen finished explaining.

Mo Kio got up and stretched, "I think I have a general idea. Now, let's go and eat something. We can start working after our bellies are full."

He added turning to Xi Hua, a little apologetically, "I specifically asked them not use shrimps for any dish." Xi Hua smiled and off they went.

While eating, Huo Zenghai said, "I surely understand what you want to create. It will definitely look like a really cool racing game when it is completed, but I am not sure that my skills are up to the mark."

Xi Hua agreed, "Yup. I believe that if me and Zenghai pitch in, we are only going to spoil the code."

Yu Chen said with difficulty as her mouth was full, "Oh that's no problem. You guys can proof read the code for any mistakes and write codes for things that I ask you to."

Mo Kio: "And me and Chen can work on the overall design."

"Make sure to read very carefully whatever he writes. Because that will definitely require it." Yu Chen leaned and whispered in Xi Hua's ear.

Xi Hua and Yu Chen burst out laughing one after the other, shocking the two boys.

So that is what they did after eating. Huo Zenghai and Xi Hua checked the code already written by Chen, and as expected, found no mistake. Mo Kio worked on the program with the help of Yu Chen. Finally they shared whatever was done to each one of their laptops so that they could go over it during the night.
