บท 11: The Hex

When the Ash Von-Kade kids had returned to their home they were very excited to tell their parents all kinds of stories of their adventure in the forest, but to their dismay when they entered the house they saw their supposed immortal parents on beds shriveled up like humans without their blood.

Kids: Mom, Dad what happened why are you looking like that are you okay? Did someone attack you?

Parents: Ahh you finally came. We have a lot to tell you about come sit we will explain it all.

Evelyn: I will start when your father and I were traveling the Old World (Europe, Africa, Middle East) we were unstoppable even for the Draconian knights we did many things that made us very famous but that is not the point. The point is that during our adventure we had massacred a witch coven that had nicked your father by accident. After we had done the deed you returned to our Castle in Verona to plan out your births. This was also the time when all of the underworlds of the Old World knew of us trying to have kids hence they had stirred clear of Verona, but we later discovered that we were cursed by the elders of the coven. The cursed included that if we were to have children then our vitality will take a huge hit making us fall into hibernation preventing us to spend time with our kids.

Erik: After learning about this we closed up our castle in Verona with all sorts of knowledge pertaining to our heritage and ancestry. We don't have much time left so I will tell you a few key details. One, we may be called Vampiric Demons but it only means that we are immortal with all the abilities of vampires while without gaining any weakness. The demon part of us however, we must deal with both our abilities and weakness. Demons can be killed by anything holy but due to being immortal we just suffer, however, we can be sealed into artifacts and/or banished from the realm into the demon realm, where to be honest neither your mom or I have been to so we can not give you anything about that place. Remember to NEVER ever give your real names to any of the creatures of the underworld as they will use this to do many things to you good and bad. Your blood will be in demand by any witch who knows of it as it has powerful properties so make sure to not leave any trace of it anywhere the reason being that we are as powerful as demon royalty.

Eve: When we enter into our hibernation period we will be reduced down to ash and placed into urns which will be protected by our familiars, we only want you to take us back to Verona and place us there to make sure no one can get their hands on our energies. To enter the Castle in Verona you will need Ambrosius which is a key in the shape of a demon with the face of a gazelle body of an anaconda and horns of a moose. It will guide you to the library in Verona where you will find everything you need to know about the underworld our true abilities.

Parents: Goodbye our children, may we see you all very soon.

After those last word both of them burst into ash and gathered to pitch-black urns with the image of their familiars' whale and snake in an Egyptian style art. Once their ashes had completely entered the urns they closed completely sealing them off. The Kids were very shocked to what in the world was happening and just stood there for a long time in silence just wishing that it was all a lie and their parents would come back but that never happened.

Tomas who had lived two lives was the first to snap out of the trance and bring his siblings into a huddle and calmed them down. Once they were stable he began to speak.

Tomas: I know that it hurts but it was in the past and we had no control over it so we can only try to make sure we do not repeat our parent's mistake.

Ivy: He is right, Lexi Dave it seems we will be on the move.

Lexi: I understand and I don't mind it aren't we going to understand our position in the underworld and make sure who our enemies are?

Dave: What are we waiting for then let's find ourselves a boat and we will set sailing because I have a feeling that those people we met won't stay dead forever and are most likely looking for a way to hurt or attack us.

Tomas: Ahh those guys I believe they were vampires in the flesh the first of the kind. From what I heard from mom and dad they looked to be from the Mikaelson family who lost a child during the war with wolves.

Ivy: If that is the case then let's start preparing. Lexi go see if you can find a boat big enough for us and some stuff to take along, Dave start cleaning up the house only leave things that will not lead to us and Tomas make the whole village forget about us entirely while I get some food for us as now that we became demons through our semi-demon form we will need humans to survive.

Kids: Yes, big sister!

Even though they may sound like they are okay the kids are still too young to understand the meaning of loss as they still believe they will meet their parents after some decades. Keeping such a thought was the only way the kids found stability and were able to do anything at all. You can say the impact of having their parents sealed has yet to truly hit them.

As the Ash Von-Kade prepare to leave the New World the strongest power in the New World is about to notice their presence. Esther and Dahlia are just now being given an audience with the Eight of Covens.

When Esther and Dhalia had burned their invitation the Ebony sisters had teleported them to the village of witches but none of the Eight talked to them. It was only after a day that they were given an audience.

Lear: We welcome the Mikaelson sisters to the Coven of Eight. We wish to converse with you specifically on your relocations and if you have any connection to the wolf killings near your new town?

Theia: Do tell us, Dahlia, if the rumors about you true, are you really an immortal witch?

Dahlia: Well there is some truth to that rumor as you can technically consider me as an immortal but there are certain holes here and there so kinda sorta.

Theia: Wonderful! We can have a chat after this is over, what do you say?

Dahlia: Sorry, but our secrets stay within the family, however, I can advise on things that aren't related to my family.

Cressida: Theia.

Theia: Ahh Sorry. Tells us about what you know and we may give you entry to the Coven of Eight.

Esther: That won't be needed as my family no longer falls into the category of witches.

Dahlia and the Eight: What!! You became wolves?! Disgusting!

Esther: No, no it's not like that. I was able to turn my family of six into true creatures of the night... Vampires. However, it was quite recently so the news of these new species has yet to come to the Underworld. To answer your question: Yes, I may have some idea of who may be responsible for the deaths of those wolves and the Guardian.

Cleo: Speak of them now!

Esther: Before I came here my husband had come to me with a vial of blood saying that it came from something that was not human. Curious I use magic I had gotten from some covens in the Old World to trace back the origin of the race the blood came from. To my surprise, it came from... wait for Demons!

Everyone: What!

Ophelia: Demons who called them here to this realm and why?!!

Esther: That I don't know but they have come to the New World around the same time as us and it was an entire family that could and very well be Demons. They go by the name of Ash Von-Kade and from what I read in my grimoire the adults of the family were given the name as elemental witches in the Old World. After contacting my friends in the Old World I found out that the told me that their true name was never spoken and went by Aqua and Flóges representing their elemental powers. It is now I understand why they did that. Lastly, I would like to point out that they are no younger than 14 collectively and have yet to fully awaken their demonic side the kids I mean.

Faunas: We must find them and seal them to try to figure out their names. You said you have their blood with you?

Esther: Yes, I do enough for four portions though so there will be two members of the family that will be unaccounted for.

Faunas: It is fine we will use what we have.

Cressida: I was checking the name you gave me and it turns out that there is no one who goes by that name in your village. However, I did use a nick of the blood to find out and it leads to a group of kids leaving for the Old World.

Dahlia: I remember something like this happening when a couple decades back the wizards were discovered by the mundanes there were a lot of controversies when all of a sudden the topic just vanished from the minds of several humans as if it were a mere dream.

Cressida: If so we must at least prevent them from leaving the New World as our influence can not affect them in the Old World without support.

Anastasia: I can create four daggers with the blood and some mystic metal to make it so that the demons are paralyzed until anyone takes it out.

Faunas: Wonderful! Let's get started.

Isabel: We must hurry. I feel that if we were to let this chance slip away then it will be very hard for us to attack the demons again. Assuming that the kids are our Demons.
