* Jesus is Tested in the Wilderness
1. The temptation of Jesus is recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, Mark and Luke, can you identify the differences and similarities between them?
Answers:
Mark's account is very brief, merely noting the event. Matthew and Luke describe the temptations by recounting the details of the conversations between Jesus and Satan. Since the elements that are in Matthew and Luke but not in Mark are mostly pairs of quotations rather than detailed narration,
2. The temptations of Jesus was said to be directed into these 3 areas of our lives: Maturity, Integrity and Priority. Do you have any other areas other than these 3?
Answers:
The temptations were hedonism (hunger/satisfaction), egoism (spectacular throw/might) and materialism (kingdoms/wealth). John the Evangelist in his epistle calls these temptations "in world" as "lust of eyes" (materialism), "lust of body" (hedonism) and "pride of life" (egoism).
3. Matching these 3 temptations with the appropriate areas of our lives:
a. Jumping down from the pinnacle of the Temple = [Maturity, Integrity or Priority]
b. Turning the stones to bread = [Maturity, Integrity or Priority]
c. Th kingdoms of this world and its splendour = [Maturity, Integrity or Priority]

Answers:
His faith in God and the Scriptures
*Jesus Begins to Preach
1. What was the first message of Jesus?
Answers:
He said, " Turn back to God! The kingdom of heaven will soon be here."
2. Compare this with John the Baptist's message. What did you noticed?
Answers:
John said, " In the desert someone is shouting, 'Get the road ready for the Lord! Make a straight path for him".
I noticed he is referring Jesus as Kingdom of God or the Lord.
* Jesus Calls His First Disciples
- The calling of the first disciples was recorded in the 4 Gospel, compare and list down their similarities and differences
Answers:
John 1:35–51 reports the first encounter with two of the disciples a little earlier in the presence of John the Baptist. Particularly in the Gospel of Mark, the beginning of the Ministry of Jesus and the call of the first disciples are inseparable.
4. What verse made an impact to you today?
Answer:
v. 19-20 ---> Jesus said to them, "Come with me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish." Right then the two brothers dropped their nets and went with him.
