บท 7: Chapter 7. Family Issues
I'm currently in the Xiao Long residence living room sitting on a couch with Yang hugging my right arm plus Ruby is unfortunately holding on to my tail petting it, which is a little uncomfortable by the way, on my left and a blond hair, blue eye father glaring daggers at me sitting in a chair in the opposite side. Taiyang Xiao Long is currently sporting a light brown shirt with dark brown cargo pants and he is not happy, he already scolded Yang for putting her and Ruby in danger but he's just glad that they are okay. Which brings him to me their savior and a boy which he puts more emphasis on then the savior part who Yang and Ruby are showing a good deal of affection towards. Taiyang spoke in a displeased tone while glaring at me.
Taiyang: So let me get this straight you an 8 year old BOY manage to beat 4 grimm without getting a scratch on him saving my girls while you just happen to be in the area then you carried my sunny little dragon on your back and held little rosebuds hand taking them home.
Silva: Well they were just beowolfs and only 4 of them at that.
My sentence might come off as arrogant but I can beat up twice that many with my bare hands.
Taiyang: Yang and Ruby don't you want sit on your daddies lap after going though such a scary time.
Yang: I'm good daddy.
Ruby: Silva your tail is so soft.
Taiyang looked heartbroken for a moment then went back to glaring at me. Then we heard the front door open and close, we looked to see who came in. Qrow walked in wearing a dark gray button up shirt with a few unbuttoned at his chest along with a pair of dark pants and his dark red cape. Qrows dull red eyes locked on to me and the girls then to out his flask to take a drink and said.
Qrow: Found them Tai and looks like they were meeting their boyfriend here.
Taiyang did not look amused with Qrow's antics but he just sighed and told him what happen while he was looking for the girls. Qrow scratched his dark spiky hair and head giving me an appraising look, I appraised him back then said.
Silva: Who this grandpa?
Taiyang plus the girls looked amused while Qrow narrowed his eyes and shot back.
Qrow: Listen kid I'm still young and attractive plus I have enough inappropriate stories to back it up.
Silva: Good for you finding some women that like older men at your age.
Qrow was peeved now but was having trouble retorting back, Taiyang was snickering at Qrow for losing the conversation to me. The conversation went over Ruby and Yang's heads so they kept quiet, Qrow went to sit down at a chair then took out his flask again for another drink and spoke.
Qrow: I met your mother while I was looking for the girls Silva.
Silva's thoughts: Well that explains why he was late in showing up.
Silva: Really now what did she say, does she want me to come home?
Qrow: She said your free to do as you wish for the rest of your time here.
Well that is interesting that Raven gave me the okay for me to get know Yang and the rest. Yang started yawning then Ruby which is hardly surprising how tired they are from today's events, Taiyang looked out the window and saw that it was night tome. Taiyang got up from his chair then went to take the girls to bed, they didn't want to let me go especially Ruby their dear old dad wasn't sure what to do then Qrow spoke.
Qrow: Tai why not let the kid spend the night here since its late.
I was a little surprise that Qrow suggested that, Taiyang looked more then a little reluctant to do that but gave up when the girls looked excited at my staying here. The girls tried to drag me to bed with them but I told them I will join them later when I'm tired they made me pinky promise them that I would do so, their father looked aggrieve at this promise. With Taiyang's head down he took his tired angels in his arms to bed, I looked to Qrow after I heard them go up stairs and asked.
Silva: What now gramps?
Qrow rubbed the bridge of his nose but didn't retort to my comment on his age but did say.
Qrow: Lets wait for Tai he's going to want hear this.
It took Taiyang 10 minutes to get back to the living room after taking the girls to bed. Qrow asked him to take a seat then asked him a question.
Qrow: Tai do you remember me saying that I met Silva's mother?
Taiyang: Yes why do you ask?
Qrow: Because you know her as well.
Taiyang: Really who is she?
Qrow looked reluctant to answer but took a deep breath then solemnly said.
Qrow: Raven is Silva's adopted mother.
Taiyang eyes widen then looked to me confused then pained followed by angry then a number of different expressions later asked to no one in particular.
Taiyang: Why... Why adopt him while leaving Yang and me... Just why.
Qrow: I asked the same question and in her own words said that she took him in out of pity. I doubt that is the actual reason for taking him in because she's not one for pity.
Seeing Taiyang devastated I had to speak.
Silva: I know the real reason she made her son.
Taiyang and Qrow focus on me as I told them my story excluding my past life and what I know about silver eyed warriors. I also told them my suspicions about Raven trying to make me loyal to the tribe and her plus why I'm here in the first place. The 2 men took a couple of minutes to process the information I gave them then Taiyang was the first to speak.
Taiyang: Thank you for telling me this and thank you again for saving the girls.
Qrow: This does sound more like my sister then her taking pity on you and I can think of another reason she adopted you but I'll explain that later.
Silva: So what now?
The two of them looked to each other then Taiyang spoke.
Taiyang: First its getting late so lets continue this later so we should be getting to bed.
Qrow: Alright.
Silva: Okay but can you tell me where the girls are sleeping I have a promise to keep.
Taiyang: Up the stairs take a left second door on the right.
As I went up the stairs I overheard Taiyang and Qrow talking.
Qrow: I can't believe your letting him sleep with Yang and Ruby with how overprotective you are.
Taiyang: He made a promise with them plus if he tries anything I will make him regret it.
Overprotective fathers are a pain the neck plus my body is still that of a kid and I'm no lolicon but Ruby really is too cute.
