บท 24: CHAPTER 24
Adam and his father had woke up early in the next tomorrow, preparing to go the hospital. They came home in the night after staying at the hospital hope may be they could see her and the twins that day but they were not so they came home to sleep and cooked something light for her too, it was they and Sina that left the hospital and him took cap to his own house and promised to back tomorrow.
Adam was in the kitchen cooking for his stepmother mother, also prepared pap when his father was in his room dressing. Adam had dressed before cooking.
After some minutes, Adam came out from the kitchen with a big baskets in his hand that he packed the foods inside and used a small towel to cover it. Put it on the table and standing beside it.
"Father! Father!!, it's you I am waiting for!" Shouted for him to hear inside the room.
"I am coming, give me few seconds!"
"Okay Dad, I am waiting!"
"Have you pack all the necessary things that she would need" coming down to the living room.
"Yes! Sir, everything have been packed!"
"Good!, so let go" Adam took the basket and two of them left the living room, got down to the compound. The driver had cleaned the car and opened the gate.
They entered into the car and drove out, he packed and got down to close the gate back, locked the padlock and entered into the car and drove to straight to the hospital.
Adam's stepmother was in the room that put her sleeping, she had woke up in the morning before the day bright bath and dressed for by the nurses, took the medicines and slept back.
Adam, his father and driver entered the hospital with the basket in Adam's hand and going to the VIP ward that she was when the doctor saw them and taking them to his office. The driver sat down on the chair at the front of the ward since that the doctor didn't allowed them to enter and greet her, sitting down there and waiting for them.
Door of the doctor's office opened and closed, three of them entered and facing each others.
"Good morning doctor!, what happened?"
"Good morning Sir, nothing at all!"
"Good morning Doctor!" Adam greeted.
"Morning! Adam and how are you?"
"Am good Sir!" Put the basket on the table.
"Doctor!, how is my wife and why don't you let us see her that it's your office you brought us to?"
"Am sorry for that Sir, your wife is fine in good health"
"Let see her!, can we see her?"
"Not yet Sir, she is sleeping now and I told you that she need rest so later you will see her"
"Okay then! And thank you very much my Doctor, you are really doing a good job" showed his appreciation.
"You don't need to thank me Sir, it's my job"
"I know! But I have to thank you again and again"
"You are welcome Sir!, am coming I will see you soon". " Okay Doctor" he sat down on the chair.
"If you need anything to drink, you are free to take it inside the refrigerator"
"Okay! Doctor, thank you"
"Thank you Doctor" Adam said and the Doctor left the office sound of the door closed.
"I like him, he is very nice and that is why I choose him as our family's Doctor"
"Yes Dad, he is" Adam yawned, feeling like sleeping.
"Since yesterday I have not set my eye on my wife"
"The Doctor said she is fine and the twins too that she need enough rest and now she is sleeping"
"Not that am worried just missed her" Adam looked at him and faced the door.
"I don't know why am yawning like this, it's like I want to sleep, I have not sleep deeply since yesterday"
"That is bed now, lay on it and sleep"
"Oh! It's true" he stood up and laid on the bed.
"Daddy! Have you ask the Doctor about the DNA test?" Said with lower voice.
"No!, I have not" replied.
"Ask him on time, for us to know the next step to take immediately" his father looked at him and smile.
"I will ask him when he come back"
"Good!" Turned, faced the wall and trying to sleep.
Adam had been almost felt like sleeping when the door opened and the Doctor entered.
"Are you enjoying yourself Sir!"
"Yes Doctor, but I want to see now"
"I hope no problem at all Sir"
"No problem my Doctor, it's about the result"
"DNA test right?"
"Yes Doctor, have you done it?"
"We have done it since yesterday night even it's twice and the results is out"
"Good!, so how is it? The two results"
"The two results showed that they are your daughters" said with smile face.
"You mean the twins are mine!" Very happy.
"Yes!, this are the results" brought it out from his pocket and gave it to Adam's father.
"Good!, thank you Doctor, my wife have know?"
"Not at all Sir!, you can go and see her now" opened the refrigerator and brought out a bottle water.
"Okay Doctor" the Doctor closed the refrigerator and left the office.
"Daddy!, the twins are my siblings!"
"Yes!, you have wake up"
"Almost about to sleep when the Doctor enter"
"Let go and see your stepmother"
"You can go Dad, I want to sleep"
"Get down and let go!, the person that you don't see since yesterday and also leave in critical condition"
"That didn't mean, you can go and see her on my behalf and let me sleep"
"Get go now and follow me before I change it for you"
"Oh! Oh!! Daddy" said with unhappy voice and got down. Door opened and closed, him and his father left the office going to the ward when Sina crossed their way, he just arrived to the hospital.
"Good afternoon Sir!" He greeted with respect.
"Morning Sina, how are you?"
"Sina!, how are you my guy?" Adam asked.
"Am good Sir, am fine! fine Adam" hug each other.
"How is your stepmother now?"
"We too have seen her since morning, she is sleeping just want to go and see her now"
"Let go and see her together than!"
"Okay! Let go" he followed them and continued going to the ward, they were about entered when the driver saw them and walked closed to them and all of them entered. She was sitting on the bed looking and the babies were inside a big baskets at a corner.
"My wife!, how are you? And are you okay?" Sat down on the bed beside her.
"Am good my husband, how are you too?"
"I am good, how is your body now?"
"I am feeling better, thank you" said with smile.
"My twins! Welcome to this earth" Adam said with smile and touching the baby's hands.
"How are you Ma?" Sina and the driver asked in chorused and very happy for her.
"Am good, thank you very much"
"This is Sina! Adam's friend" Adam's father introduced him to the stepmother.
"How are you? And nice to meet you"
"Thank you Ma" looking at the twins inside the basket.
"Adam! You left me in a critical condition and went to your friend's house, you entered now did as if you don't see me at all. This is unfair!"
"My sisters!! My beautiful sister!!, fine twins"
"Adam! Adam!!" His father called him and faced him, others were looking at Adam some how.
"You will said that you don't heard your stepmother, even are you suppose to be told before you will know that as we have entered what to do is to apologize to her but you don't even did as if you don't see her"
"Sorry! Sorry!! That is what you wanted to hear" looked at her with bad eyes and faced the babies.
"It's okay!" She said with lower voice and looking at him, it was him that others too were looking at.
"Keep it!, Dad! The twins look like you!"
"They are girls and even as am looking at them it's their mother that they resemble"
"No Dad!, it's you that they resemble" Sina smile.
"Okay! If you said so"
"The Doctor said that they will discharged me next tomorrow and about the DNA test he has told you? Because he has not tell me about"
"Yes! He had did, they twins are mine!"
"Thank God! I free from Adam!" Said with smile and Adam looked at her with bad eye.
"You will be scared when you are not sure!"
"Adam! Adam!!" Sina called him and he hissed continued playing with the babies.
"Am hungry very well, can I get a food?"
"Off course you will, we have cooked for you before leaving the house"
"Good!, you did!" Said with smile.
"I did and if you don't want it's very fantastic because I am hungry as well"
"Shut up! And go and bring the food for her"
"Okay! Dad" looked at her again and left the ward, went to the Doctor's office and entered the ward after few minutes put the basket on the desk and brought out the cooler and gave it to her with bottle water.
"Thank you very much Adam"
"Who asked you!" Sina didn't knew what to say again just looking at Adam and his father too.
"There is nothing am doing here, Sina let go and been talking inside your car and father if my attention is needed call me"
"Okay! I will, so you can go"
"Sina! Let go" two of them left the ward and the driver too followed them, they went to sit in Sina's car and the driver sat on the chair at where he sat before.
