"W-What?! You're going back to Laudarkvik?!" Aisling stammered, her eyes as wide as saucers.
"I need some materials I can' t find here." Jake vaguely explained out of laziness to elaborate.
"What do you need?"
Jake opened his mouth at first to tell her that he would figure it out, but changed his mind when he recalled that she knew the inner workings of the city far better than he did.
"I need any special materials of the earth, metal, fire, light or spirit element." So he revealed, relying heavily on the concept of elements to make his point. "Otherwise, I am interested in any treasure, herb, potion or food that can make me stronger.
On Quanoth, where Mana was the predominant energy system, the notion of affinity and elemental mana particles was widespread and even children knew what it meant.
Edit 21/07/2022:
Just a reminder that tomorrow the first chapter of my new novel Blood Legacy is coming out as part of the WSA contest. Those of you who have been paying attention may remember another title, but I changed it after some thought. It's a little late so I'm not aiming for the podium, but I'd appreciate your support.
For those of you wondering what it's all about, very briefly it's the story of a hyper-gifted boy who transmigrates into a fantasy world of knights, monsters and magic.
In this world, everyone has a Divine Spark that allows them to do magic with the only limit being their imagination. It grows when used, but unfortunately it also becomes more and more dangerous for the holder until it leads to his/her death. The ultimate ambition of every inhabitant of this world is to overcome this fundamental limit and over the years they have tried all sorts of things to achieve this in vain.
Obviously, for those who know my style, this world is not as rosy as one might think and is actually on the verge of extinction due to both internal and external threats.
As the word Blood in the title suggests, Vampires, Werewolves, Demons and other fantastic creatures are part of the game and the hero will find his place in the midst of them all.
Some may see some very slight parallels with The Oracle Paths, and it's normal I imagine them in the same universe, but in this story everything will happen in the same place. We' re more into Dark Heroic-Fantasy with some elements of LitRPG.
