As Jake waited patiently for the results of his Ordeal in utter darkness, he had a sudden surge of hope when the Oracle System interface popped up in his face, but he soon regretted it.

[Assessment of injuries in progress...]

[Assessment complete. Serious injuries have been detected and treatment will begin imminently. The cost of treatment will be deducted from your Ordeal Credits and if not sufficient from your Aether points. Keep in mind that the care performed in the Red Cube post-Ordeal is 100 times cheaper than in a Green Cube outside.]
[Will you accept the care?]
Sorry about yesterday, but I needed the day to polish the outline for the next volume.
Here are a few clarifications:
Quad= 1 Quadrillon
Oracle Shield lvl 1 used to cost 100 credits and Oracle Heal lvl 1 200 credits at the second Ordeal. With the value doubling and each level costing double the previous one, Jake used 300 credits (100+200) for Oracle Shield lvl3 and 200 for Oracle Heal lvl2.
Oracle Teleport lvl1 cost 100 credits and the Aether Skill Teleport lvl 1 100 credits.
If the price of the Skill Teleport may seem low, remember that such a skill would have cost 400 credits during his first Ordeal and because of his too low Oracle Rank it would not even have been available in the Oracle Store.
