บท 52: The Shades Siblings
Everything has changed.
From the moment I've tasted the first drop of Dylan's blood, I know that I'll keep wanting for it for as long as I existed.
I'am now a full grown vampire.
A full grown Titanian.
But everything will not end in that.
This is just the beginning of something that I should have known from the start.
The long journey that I did in finding all my memories is just the beginning of all of this. And I know that there is much more waiting out there that I needed to face in the future. And no power in this world can protect from that thing that I know that's going to happen.
The pieces of the puzzles that's been confusing me throughout our journey is now slowly fitting into their right places.
The pieces of the puzzles that I needed, to answer all those questions that kept on running into my mind has finally gave me the answers.
And everything has come into one painful final truth and conclusion...
Binuksan ko ang malaking pinto ng malaking kwarto na iyon kung saan alam kong hinihintay ako. I opened those doors but I don't know if I'm ready to know all the answers.
...EVERYTHING THAT WAS TOLD TO ME WERE ALL COMPLETE LIES.
I'am here to seek for answers.
I'am here to ask for explanation of what I just remembered last night...

All the red eyes of that big room turned to my direction and when they saw me, they stood up from where they are sitted.
"Good morning mistress" they all greeted me.
Yes. This is the Council Meeting of The Elders that's been protecting Cytherea for years. At nang magising ako kaninang umaga ay sinabi ni Lucian na kailangan kong pumunta dito kung gusto kong malaman ang lahat ng katotohanan.
I'am wearing the rightful black armor that I should have wore from the moment I've stepped into this place. The blue rose in it symbolizes the royalty that beholds of being a Titanian.
And I don't know if it is only in my blood but I can feel so much power and authority as I stood right in front of them.
Yes. I'am a Titanian.
My blood came from the original vampire ancestor and from the rulers of this world.
I saw them standing beside that big round table that I used to play when I was a child. And I can clearly remember that this room is the meeting room where I can see my father used to stay all the time to meet the elders.
There are more likely to be ten people in that room aside from me.
I saw familiar faces. And I remember that they are one of the elders to be known loyal into our family.
Napalingon ako sa paligid at nakita ko din sina Maalouf at Bea na magkatabing nakatayo din sa tabi ng round table na yun.
Maalouf gave me a simple smile while Bea gave me her usual grin. And I smiled back.
Napalingon naman ako sa lalaking nakatayo sa pinakamalapit sa akin and when I saw him, those emotions in my blood started to run again.
Lucian is wearing the same black armor and he is hiding his face again in his metal mask. Yes. He is Lucian today and not Dylan. I just saw his eyes smiled when he saw me and I smiled back.
He walked towards me and then he tenderly kissed my hand.
Saka sya humarap sa lahat ng nanduon.
"I would like to introduce you all to the heiress of Montez clan, Lady Annah" he announced.
Everyone bowed to me.
"Welcome back, my lady" they all greeted me.
Even Maalouf and Bea did that kaya pakiramdam ko ay nababaguhan ako. Maybe I'm just used of being them as my friends and not one of the people who serves the Titanians.
Napatingin nalang ako sa kanilang lahat at sa totoo lang ay hindi ko alam kung ano ang unang sasabihin ko.
There are so many questions in my mind at sa sobrang dami nun ay hindi ko na alam kung ano ang unang itatanong ko.
But before I get the chance to speak again ay bigla nalang bumukas uli ang malaking pinto ng kwartong iyon na nasa likuran ko.
And then those unfamiliar scents filled the room.
Nakita ko nalang ang pag-ngiti ng mga mata ni Lucian na para bang kilala na nya ang mga bagong dating bago pa man sya lumingon sa likuran namin.
"They are finally here" he said.
Dahan-dahan naman akong napalingon sa likuran ko at natigilan ako sa sumunod kong nakita.
There are two people stepped inside that room.
Pero ang mas nagpabigla sa akin ay nang makitang pareho silang nakasuot ng black armor at black metal mask na katulad ng kay Lucian. Nakataas din ang itim na hood nila that's covering their heads.
"I'm sorry we are late" ang sabi ng bagong dating. And by his voice and built ay alam kong lalaki sya.
Pero mas nabigla ako nang marinig ko na ang boses ng isa.
"We are here for our master"
Yes. She's a girl.
Then I saw her emotionless red eyes turned to me. Pero napalunok ako sa sumunod na sinabi nya.
"What an ugly child" she said. "She looks so alike with our mistress"
I blink.
What...
What did she...
What did she just said?
Samantalang narinig ko lang na napa-smirk at napayuko si Lucian. Napatingin naman ako sa mga elders na nanduon pero para bang hindi sila makatingin ng diretso sa dalawang bagong dating.
Saka ako napalingon uli sa dalawa.
Who are these people?
I can clearly remember na ngayon ko lang sila nakita sa buong buhay ko.
"This armor irritates me so much" she said saka nya walang babalang tinanggal ang itim na mask na nasa mukha nya at itinapon ang armor na suot nya.
And when I finally saw her, I was stunned.
Red eyes.
Short blonde hair.
And she's wearing a...
I blink.
...a maid costume?
But before I could react ay bigla ng nagsalita si Lucian.
"Welcome back Shades siblings" he said. "...Hildegarde and Cedric"

Shades siblings?
With confusion ay napalingon ako kay Lucian.
I know that this is the first time that I met these two siblings.
Mukhang napansin naman ng lalaking kaharap ko na tinawag ni Lucian ng Cedric ang pagtataka sa mga mata ko kaya nagsalita sya.
"We served the original vampire ancestor, Demon for centuries" he said. "And we are here for our master"
Nabigla ako sa narinig ko kaya mabilis akong napalingon sa direksyon nilang dalawa.
Kung ganun...naging servant sila ng lolo ko?
"We served the master for centuries...but after this world was created, we formed a new secret organization that protects our master's family..." the girl said that I think Lucian called Hildegarde. "...and this organization is called Shades"
Shades?
A secret organization?
Mukhang napansin ni Lucian ang pagtataka sa mga mata ko kaya nilingon nya ako.
"We are the highest organization that protected The Titanians for years" he said. "And yes, I was one of them"
Nabigla ako sa nalaman kong yun kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
So Lucian is also a member of this secret high organization that protected our family?
Napatingin nalang ako sa kanilang tatlo at ngayon ko lang na-realize.
Kaya ba pare-pareho silang nakatago ng mga mukha at yun ay dahil sa pare-pareho silang myembro ng secret organization na ito?
"But Shades is not only formed to protect the Titanians" Hildegarde said kaya napalingon ako sa kanya. "It is also formed to protect the Ten Stones of Death"
My brows met.
Ten stones...of Death?
"When master Demon created this world, the remains of his powers shattered into this world and formed into stones" Cedric said. "And it was called Ten stones of Death"
Mas lalong nagsalubong ang kilay ko.
"P-pero...bakit...bakit sya tinawag na Ten Stones of Death?" ang takang tanong ko.
I know that this conversation is all of a sudden at hindi ko pa lubusang kilala ang magkapatid na ito pero hindi na ako makapaghintay na malaman ang lahat ng katotohanan.
Afterall, I've waited long enough to get all those answers and I know that this is the right time na malaman ko na ang lahat.
Lucian's eyes turned to me.
"Because it is believed to be so powerful that it can actually resurrect any person from death. Humans..." he said then his eyes became serious. "...and even the strongest vampires"
I was stunned.
Ten stones of Death...can actually resurrect any person from death?
Ganun kalakas...ang naiwang kapangyarihan ng lolo ko sa mundong ito?
"For years we able to protect both Titanians and the Ten Stones of Death" Hildegarde said pero biglang bumaha ng galit sa mga mata nya bago sya nagpatuloy. "But our organization became corrupted...and before we knew it, our organization met its doom"
"There are ten of us in the organization and each one of us holds and protects one stone..." si Cedric at nakita ko pa ang pagkuyom nya ng mga kamay bago sya nagsalita. "...but we were hunted down and killed one by one by that traitor..."
Nabigla ako sa narinig ko.
Kung ganun...ay may nag-traydor sa samahan nila...at pinangpatay ang ibang kasamahan nila?
At kahit na hindi ko parin alam kung ano ang kinalaman nito sa akin ay pakiramdam ko ay malaki ang naging parte ng organization nila sa buhay ko. So I think knowing their secret organization will help me in finding those answers that I needed.
Samantalang mas pinili nalang ng ibang kasamahan namin sa kwartong iyon na manahimik sa mga kinatatayuan nila.
"It's good that we were able to get all the stones before he had gained all of it" Hildegarde said. "But now..."
I saw her gritted her teeth so hard saka sya napakuyom ng mga kamay bago nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita.
At bigla akong nanlamig sa sumunod na sinabi nya.
"But now there are only three of us left..." she continued.
I was stunned.
Kung ganun...
Kung ganun sa sampung myembro ng Shades ay silang tatlo nalang nina Lucian at Cedric ang natitira?
Dahil...
Dahil pinangpatay sila isa-isa ng isang kasamahan nila?
"S-sino..." I whispered. "S-sino ang pumatay sa ibang kasamahan nyo? Sino ang nag-traydor sa Shades?"
There was a big silence in the whole room.
Kaya napalingon ako sa mga kasamahan namin na nasa loob ng kwartong iyon.
But the elders just looked down and didn't speak a word.
Samantalang napaiwas nalang ng tingin sina Maalouf at Bea na para bang ayaw nilang sabihin ang kasagutan doon.
Kaya nilingon ko uli ang tatlong bampira na nasa harapan ko.
"B-bakit..." I whispered. "B-bakit hindi nyo sinasabi sa akin?"
But Lucian turned to me and his eyes became serious.
And what he said next crashed my whole world and broke my heart into pieces.
"Its Raven..." he said. "He's the traitor that killed most of our members. And he is a traitor not only to us but also to our kind"
