บท 18: To Varthur!
After disconnecting call Shastri packed his clothes. Then taking some foods and water bottle prepared by his mother for the travel shastri started to leave.
"Be careful. Call me once you reach there" shastri's mother said.
Shastri's father had gone to the temple, to do work on behalf of his son. So shastri said farewell to his mother.
As shastri was going to the bus stop he saw Baidajja coming out of his house. Seeing that, shastri started walking faster. He wanted to pass there house as soon as possible.
But ajja had already seen him. He yelled" Hey shastri, are you going somewhere?"
"Yes ajja. I have some work to attend."
"Oh, when are you coming back?"
"I think it may take around three to four days" shastri answered.
"Oh…I see. Leela was feeling bored. So I thought if you were free, you both could visit some places. After all you have also played together since the childhood." Ajja reminisced the past.
"Well ajja the times have changed since then. Village games are not good as that of cities. Even relationships formed from the childhood can be forgotten. All that is required is status and money. And that is what I am going for, Money."shastri said seriously.
"Well I think you are talking about something serious. But I can't understand it well"ajja said.
Shastri did not want to explain either. He said hurriedly," Ok ajja, it is time for my bus to come. Are you having any shortage of medicines? If so, give me the medicine list. I will bring it back for you."
"Not now. I have already kept the stock of required medicines. If something is required I will tell leela to call you" Ajja assured.
"Ok then ajja. I will have to hurry to the bus stop. See you later" Shastri said. Then he began running towards the bus stop.

But he did not see his granddaughter wiping of the teardrops." I understand shastri…..and I am sorry." Leela whispered and went inside.
As Shastri sat on the bus, Viraj and Vimala had come to wish happy journey.
"You could have told me that in the phone also" Shastri said surprised.
"Well we wanted to come and personally wish you farewell" Viraj said. Infact he had also wanted to call him and just wish 'Happy Journey' but his sister had insisted to do it personally. She had even said that, because of this the relationship between them would deepen.
Whether his or hers, Viraj had no clue.
After waving farewell to Shastri, Vimala asked Viraj" Do you think he can solve the case as soon as possible?"
"Well, I this case will be a little bit difficult for him," Viraj said." We have already notified all the major police stations and Nikhita's parents have already declared a separate reward. Some clue should have cropped in this circumstances. But seeing that nothing has cropped up, it is highly probable that she has been..."
"Please don't say that word" Vimala said." We were closer than the friends. We were like sisters. So I can't imagine her being" her voice almost fell "Dead".
"Well, you don't have to worry vimala" Viraj tried to reassure" I think it is possible that she is chilling in some relatives house. Or else she may have married and as of now they are in honey moon"
"Well I think you are right. What kind of friend that she has not invited he best friend to her own wedding. I will ask her for compensation for the tension, lack of sleep because of her" vimala said smiling. But deep inside her eyes traces of worry could still be seen….
