บท 696: Escape

Intense black light enveloped the desert, plunging a large area of sand into darkness.

A man appeared right in the middle of it all.

He was wearing a black coat covered in runes, a black hat with a wide rim that was pulled down, concealing his face.

The only place within that area of the desert unaffected by the darkness was the Demon Scorpion Empress.

The man looked around before focusing his attention on the Demon Scorpion Empress.

"Where's the person?" he questioned.

The Demon Scorpion Empress covered her mouth and yawned: "You're asking me?"

"Nonsense, of course I'm asking you!" the man angrily snapped at her.

The Demon Scorpion Empress tilted her head and thought for a bit before answering: "Ah, they were here before, but I don't know where they are now"

"Are you making fun of me?"

"I'm only telling you the truth"

"Good, good, very good, just you wait, I'll find that card first then we'll talk about you"
