Chapter 63. Monster rookie (2)
'It's like she is a complete different person.'
Zhu Yi thought as she looked at Xiao Rin who was acting out the scene. She felt that she was a complete different person as she saw her act.
When she had first met her, she had thought of her as a young girl with dreams of becoming an actress but now, the girl in front of the camera was a little sister who was worried about her brother, she was a little sister who didn't have much to live and she constantly worried about her brother's life after she had died.
She didn't wanted her brother to be sad, so she tries to make her brother hate her, even thought she didn't like this, she was doing it for her brother.
It was not a easy job to portray such a character but Xiao Rin was exactly doing it.
She was not overacting and her emotions were all in the right place. She was showing unwillingness, resistance and anxiousness on her face perfectly.
"I told you, I hated you. You are just a delinquent who bullies others. You are just a scum and failed person."
She was scolding her brother with a angry expression but Zhu Yi was able to see the hidden unwillingness on her face.
She was doing something she hated to do but she was the doing it because she saw it as the right thing to do.
The way Xiao Rin was expressing those emotions was explicit. It was almost like the character had come to life.
Zhu Yi was really happy seeing this. She was not able to take her eyes away from Xiao Rin.
A character like Yiren needs a spirit of unwillingness and stubbornness. She was a character like that and Xiao Rin's acting was really powerful.
It gave a strong character to Yiren. The character of Yiren may look like a little worried girl but she was a stubborn girl at the end.
It was important to sense those feelings while portraying her and Xiao Rin was exactly doing that.
'It's not only her but he is great too.'
Zhu Yi thought as her eyes kept alternating between Xiao Rin and Ren.
"Yiren, be honest with me. Do you really hate me? You don't, right. You are hiding something from me, right."
Ren who was playing her counterpart was not slacking at all. He was not just reading his lines but also giving the required expressions.
It was like they were not conducting an audition but actual a shoot, that was the feeling everyone was feeling in the room.
Both of their pronunciations were great, they were saying the lines without any mishap and the main thing was the chemistry between them.
It was like they were really brother and sister who have known each other for years. It was a spectacular sight to witness this level of acting from rookies.
"Do you really think I think of you as a brother? I don't and will never think of you like that."
"Do you think I don't know my own sister! You are obviously acting. Yiren, I know you are hiding something from me."
Ren said as he sighed in desperation. He don't know what to say, how to convey his emotions at this moment.
He was someone who was meeting his dead sister after a long time. He didn't even knew if the situation he was in was real or not.
He just wanted to embrace his sister at this moment but he found it umable to do it.
"Hid-hiding, why will I hide something from you? No, it's none of your business if I hide something or not?"
Xiao Rin retorted with slight hesitation. She was looking nervous at this moment. She was afraid that the secret she had hided for so long would be discovered by Ren.
She was looking afraid as she inwardly knew that her brother would be sad if he really knew the truth.
"Yiren, tell me the truth. You are diagnosed with a heart disease, right."
Xiao Rin's expression broke when she heard that. The secret she was hiding from her brother was finally revealed.
She didn't knew what to do at this moment, she wanted to deny it but she knew that it would not work out anymore.
Her brother already know her secret. She can't hide it any longer.
Xiao Rin just stood there while thinking like that.
"Don't worry, Yiren. No matter what happens to you, I will stay with you, no, I will save you."
Ren said as he finally hugged her. Tears were already spilling out of his eyes.
"How….did….you.…know it?!"
Xiao Rin said while shuttering. Her immersion in her role was too great that she was not thinking much about Ren hugging her.
"I just know it and don't worry, I will save you."
"You, yo-you can't, we, we don't have that much…..money….just let me….…die."
Xiao Rin said as she struggled but Ren grasp was firm. Her tears which she holding back up till now was flowing out.
"I, I will surely save you, I promise it, Yiren. I can't lose my little sister again."
Ren said as he kept hugging Xiao Rin with a expressions of sadness, worry and conviction.
The scene ended with that and the whole group of producers was shocked still by the performance.
Director Fu was the most excited as his hands kept shaking in excitement and the smile on his face was almost shining.
CEO Wang was also not sane. The last time they had clapped for Ren's performance but this time, he knew that a applause isn't enough.
This was a heartbreaking and saddening scene and it was implemented perfectly by both of them.
He was on cloud nine as he kept thinking about the moment the drama will air.
He was sure everyone would be shocked by the performance. He was even regretting that it wasn't a actual recording and just an audition.
Zhu Yi's mouth on the other hand was wide open. She was feeling like she would cry at this moment.
The feelings she had given the characters while writing have come alive at this moment.
She even thought about having a discussion with the director to increase the scenes of Xiao Rin and Ren.
Although Xiao Rin was still not officially casted, she felt that nobody would be able to give a more shocking performance than her.
And her chemistry with Ren was on another level. It was well apparent that they had practice with each other for a long time.
At that moment, a thought appeared on her head. She was not much confident in her own drama but at that moment, she thought that the drama would surely shock everyone just because of the performances.
The last chapter for today. For the last few days, I have been thinking of fixing my schedule and I will do it these days. I hope I can do 2 chapter a day, if not I will at least do 10 chapters a week.
