บท 47: Chapter 47 the kind major, cruelty of this world?
The large city of Dreug was currently under siege by a group that wished to stop the empire from making the worst choice that can break the balance and call forth the monster owned by the woman named Aurora.
The military Major was patrolling at this moment at the city walls looking at the horizon he was a middle-aged looking man that was a mixed human from a harpy while he lacked all of the feathers and wings he managed to retain the hawk-like eyes, the claws, superior reflexes, hearing then lastly the long lifespan of one as he was nearly 500 years old now, many of his outer features were from his father.
from good looks boosted by the bloodline to his large frame that could squash one of the land dragons, his combed back blonde hair reached his shoulders, blue eyes with the left side scarred by some kind of beast claws, pointed ears, he was a dual swordsman, that took a summoned harpy as his partner, where compared to the rest that used them for relief, he married the monster and currently has 14 kids and one more on the way!
he was making his rounds as something about this day made him uneasy so the man was making full use of his eyesight to scan the distance for anything the Major had been doing this for a quarter of the day now!
And yet this strange fear ate at him, the man had his wife to retreat to one of the nests protected by the free monsters that he had found and gotten along with as his thoughts distracted him one of his colleagues that was similar in rank called out to him as the newcomer had the demon that was missing its wings, battered up, and currently pregnant crawling on all fours with a chain attached to her neck.
"well, well, well, what a pleasant surprise, Major Rainer didn't think i'd see you around at this time. shouldn't you be back home relaxing with your wife?"
There was a hint of yearning when he said 'Major' before his words were laced with hidden malice.
the man that spoke to Rainer was a man that had a large axe strapped to his back he too was middle-aged a pure human at that, as he had a large amount of black hair, his mustache looked more like whiskers, with obsidian eyes that added to his intimidating looks, as his features made him look more like a lion despite the fact earning him a nickname that he doesn't like,
Rainer now awake from his daydream looked at the lion-like man and called him by his 'title' which earned a twitch from the man's cheek.
"well if it isn't the Frulad the black lion of Koaloopa, here to make a name for your self again? I just wanted to double-check the walls before heading home, don't want to overwork my next shift, eh?"
Rainer's words struck him harder due to his recent failure and mistakes, as true Frulad fought valiantly like a lion however despite destroying so many monsters he failed to kill any of the opposition, also failed to capture the targeted city and on top of that, his men were unable to capture the other summoning area!
which by the way was the place that Cu used to summon his monsters!
Frulad's face twitched repeatedly as he was forced to remember his shame thus, took it out on the crawling demon that was currently pregnant with his offspring which he cared very little for, with a kick he sent the demon woman rolling along the top of the wall!
Rainer was angry at the bastard taking it out on a defenseless and pregnant woman while he wanted to save her there was little that he could do thanks to her being Frulad's property and if he showed any intent on saving her she'll die just like the other two that he attempted to save!
Frulad was a man that believed that monsters should be treated as slaves since they require the mana of their summoners the demon he just kicked was the 11th one he had summoned and 'seeded' he has one child so far that managed to survive throughout the 'training' that he put any of his kids through.
which was real-time survival for two years in the wilderness full of monsters that are extremely vicious what disappointed him the most was out of ten the only survivor was one and a female at that, but he got over it quickly as when she comes of age the children that she could bare should be of excellent pedigree as he only wants the best!
he delivered a rain of kicks as Frulad was venting as much as possible before finally calming down straightening out his clothes, hair, then pulled out a white cloth from his sleeve that was used to wipe off the blood that covered his boots, as the demon woman laid on the ground on her side passed out from the trampling.
Frulad sighed before giving an apology.
"*phew* forgive my disgraceful display as I really don't like remembering that event as it may lead me to get a replacement for this mess of a bitch laying on the ground, i guess I'll head back to clean myself off"
Reminding Rainer that there was nothing that he could do and should he remind him again every demon woman that he will bring near him will die slowly...
as he was done wiping himself of the blood that covered his boots he ordered one of his bodyguards that stood by at that stairs to collect his toy and bring it back!
Rainer was struggling to control himself yet he managed to maintain a stoic look but his eyes said how much he was disgusted by the man that was of equal rank as him and how much he wanted to end him right then and there!
But if he did so with how many of those damned nobles supporting him in the dark it would just backfire on him and his family as compared to the past he had so much to lose should he fail to reign in that strong urge to butcher the man like a pig, he rather let his family grow peacefully for years to come than lose so many of them by being chivalrous for one moment!
Sometimes he just wished to let this dying empire crumble before its foolish ideas spread far and wide but duty and pride prevents him from doing anything yet again, so after Frulad was done cleaning himself and arrived with a new demon it was obvious what happened to the previous one...
Rainer thought to himself as he left his post
"how i would love it should you die this very night!"
it was wishful thinking on his part as he wanted to relax in his wife's embrace as he caressed her taut belly not once did he truly think that his wish may or may not come true so soon...
As when he was relaxing with his wife and kids, the ground shook as the city Dreug was surrounded by millions of dragons and two huge beings clad in lightning and fire marched towards it as that night was hell on earth for the people of the city!
