บท 2: The Innocent Dilemma - Chapter 2
It was the day of my adoption, I was very happy and made a final goodbye to all my friends and the orphanage.
My eyes stuck upon something unusual, A newspaper headline which says An adopted girl kills her father.
The name was julie.
I suddenly jump up and in shock to realise that it was Julie, my friend who had been in the newspaper.
She killed his father in their house..
I began reading more," She planned the murder in a very dramatic way, when there was no one in the house, She tried to kill both the parents but the mother survived.The mother reports of her adopted daughter killing his husband in a very shocking way.
By Stabbing on to his chest with a knife.The investigation later revealed the fingerprints found on the knife and might be that she was ready to kill her mother. The mother escape from the scene and was transferred to a hospital where the report was made.The police declare the girl's health to be mentally ill.The police investigated about the girl and found out, she used to live in an orphanage because her original parents were found dead in the house when she was child.The police later reveals that the girl had murdered a boy when she used to live in the orphanage because she was not chosen for adoption as the boy took her place.The girl is placed in a mental hospital where she will be treated accordingly."
I felt dead for an hour after I read the newspaper.
I had unimaginable thoughts on my mind about the incident which happened 5 years ago.
"The culprit was julie" i screamed in agony and anger...
All these years, I thought Adam planned everything but i was wrong. I began visualising the things and realised about everything that happened back then.
Now the complete story came into the picture.
Julie was mentally ill from childhood, She killed her own parents and plot a wrong story about her childhood's abusiveness and parents.
She plotted a sad environment around her so she could get sympathy from everyone.
One of them was Adam who used to look and care for her.
During the incident, Adam had planned and thought about the plan but he was too innocent to execute the plan so he might not have.
But Julie had a psychopathic mind, she took the same advantage of Peter's weakness and murdered peter.
He might have been shocked to see julie executing the murder.
Julie left the incident place. When he tried to save peter, peter was already dead, Adam liked julie very much and doesn't want to hurt her by telling everyone about it, so he kept quiet and began to feel lost.
He saw the bracelet on the ground with blood stain which he gave to julie.
He doesn't want Julie to be caught by anyone so he hides the bracelet in his locker.
Julie knew if peter was gone, she is the next child that will get adopted so she plan everything and executed the murder.
I clenched my fist and hit on the wall to find out how the incident happened in satisfaction just like a mystery is solved in Sherlock Holmes novels while forgetting about Adam who had sacrificed himself for julie.
I began to feel depressed and felt bad for Adam and to share it but whom should i, the question still aroused in my mind.
I had the pressure in my head about the incident.
Everything was now clear, but I knew that if I kept the secret inside me, i would feel pressurized.
So I had to find a medium to tell the story to the world.
A month passed by....
I have turned 18, The spring season has started , the college had begun. Everything is back to normal like an arrow has found its path.
Meeting new people was the new culture that i had to follow, although I have never liked it before.
But the incident that i read a month ago still remained inside my mind gobbling with my thoughts....
Many a times, i thought of meeting Julie in the hospital and tell the things about the whole adam incident but it wasn't possible,rather it was a radical idea to think of, I couldn't just meet her in the hope of some changes and forget about murders she executed. She may be in no state to rationalise things.
The thought came to me , may be because a person showed some care towards her and sacrificed himself which never happened in Julie's life before, so she might realise the things and a bit improvement might we see someday.
I felt myself a psychopathic person who doesn't have their own sense and thinks in a very optimistic manner to solve things for his personal mental benefits.
so it was very obvious to drop the idea.
My new parents were quite old, they had no children and had to be taken care of, so they chose me for it.
I was lucky enough to be chosen as it never happened before, so I was ready to be loved and take care of them as their son.
I felt proud to be given some responsibility and was on the run for it.
"6 months has passed but you are still lost somewhere, not yet ready to mingle with us mentally, that's very rude, my boy" my father in a very polite manner asked me..
I replied nothing more than a nodded head..
I knew it was bad not to recognise the love they showed to me.
I felt very insensitive to not able to express the thoughts to my current father.
My life was still stuck in my orphanage where i had most of my friends, some good memories and weird secrets.
I wasn't ready to move on with my life.
The next day, I woke up full of sweat all over my body, heart pounding like a bulldozer and mind lost in my dreams.
I felt as if I was dead for the whole night and listening to adam.
Adam murmured about something in the dream, I could hear what he was saying,
I felt as if I knew what he said in the past after the whole incident began.
The story took a U turn in my life, my thought process came into action to do the necessary things and to investigate if adam's words were true in my dreams.
