After what Dev said, Ador readily agreed without a second of gap. But Ita was sad.
She spoke a bit loudly for everyone to hear "Marriage is not like buying a saree. Today I liked pure silk, tomorrow I change to linen and then to banarasi. In front of the Holy fire, in the chant of vedic mantras both of you married as per your will. A miscarriage cannot bring an end to it. "
Ador got angry hearing her mother's words.
Gopi who was busy eating, stopped and started listening attentively to what Ita was suggesting.
She chimed in. "Yes, both of you should give each other a chance. Dev wants to improvise both in professional and personal front. At least he deserves a second chance. I know you like him. There is a saying, 'To err is human but to forgive is divine'. Right ?"
Unma did not like where this road was leading too. She wanted to desperately save her sister. She said aloud, " But your son does errs now and then. How many times will my sister forgive him for his wrong doings? He drinks, he takes cigarettes, gutkas. Look at his teeth. Yucks."
Bali became furious.
He said " Watch your tongue, girl? It's my son you are speaking about."
Dev was enjoying every character of this ongoing drama. He blurted out shamelessly.... " But you should hear the soft moans of your sister, when I kiss her and bite her with this small brown teeth of mine.... hahahahaha."
Everybody became silent after Dev's bombardment.
Ador looked at him fuming with rage. Unma looked down. Kir and Ita were looking at the shameless Dev. Bali was feeling proud that his son quietened the blabbering Unma. Gopi got angry. She said "Think before you speak. There are elders present. "
Bali ordered everyone..... "We give the children another chance. If thinks work out it will be fine, if not we will... "
Dev completed " try to make things work. But I need Ador back."
Gopi the butted in. "We take Ador with us today itself. "
Ador looked at her parents thinking they would stop them, but alas.
Gopi said Ador to pack her bags and started on the dessert. Such a foodie. Who thought that she had uncontrolled diabetes.
Ador did not get up to pack her bag.
Seeing this Ita washed her hands and called Unma to help her pack Ador's bags.
Bali excused himself along with wife and son, that they were going to the balcony to get some fresh air as the room felt stuffy. and left.
Ador sat helplessly. Her appetite was lost. Kir said, " You may hate us now, but what we have done is for your own better future. You are only twenty seven years old now. You have a long road ahead. We as parents want the best for you"
Ador replied, " Papa, I don't want to go. They curb my freedom. He manhandles me. He hits me." To which Ita replied while coming out with 2 suitcases and 3 bags followed by Unma, " Patience is a virtue. One who has patience, goes a long way. Who knows you might change him for the better. "
Bali, Gopi, Dev and Ador after having evening tea, with Ador's family left for Durgabari. Ador felt very bad. She saw tear filled Ita and Unma bidding her adieu.
Kir murmured, " It will be difficult for us to meet her again. they will try to keep her away from us, thinking that we will influence her thought process. May God be with her and guide her. We wanted her to be happy, so decided for her. Hope she finds her deserved happiness.... "
