บท 144: Why is Someone Crying?

>Tyler's POV<

I killed 2 zombies in one shot using the sniper and biglang tumunog yung walkie-talkie. "Throw the 1st grenade. Sa left side ko." Sabi niya at nagulat ako.

"Bakit!?" tanong agad ni Dannie at hindi agad sumagot si Geof. Masyadonng busy sa kakapatay ng zombies sa right side niya. Yung mga malapit sa kanya pero nung tiningnan ko ng mas Mabuti, pansin ko na yung zombies papunta sa left side niya marami, pero malayo sila kay Geof.

"Ibato mo na." sabi ko na lang kay Dannie at tiningnan niya ako with panic.

"Tyler, hindi ba—" hindi ko siya pinatapos.

"Dannie, trust your comrades. They know what they're doing." Sabi sa kanya ng tatay niya and Dannie hesitated while she held the grenade.

"Natatakot ako. Baka mamatay si Geof." Sabi niya at tiningnan niya ang tatay niya. "Alam kong malayo ang zombies sa kanya sa left side, pansin ko pero paano kung tumalsik si Geof dahil sa impact? Paano pag na-injure ko siya?" sunod-sunod na tanong ni Dannie at tiningnan ko naman siya and I held her shoulder.

"Trust him! We know what we're doing. Thank you for your concern, but the plan is doing well! You just have to do what we're saying because these are orders and they are efficient enough to make the plan become successful!" I persuaded and she looked down at the grenade and held it tight.

"Ibato mo na!" sigaw ni Geof and we heard him clearly through the walkie-talkie. Dannie was pressured but she activated the grenade and threw it on the left side of Geof where he ordered it to be.

Smoke was everywhere. Hindi kami muna bumaril kasi sa sobrang dami ng smoke. Paano kung accidentally, nabaril namin si Geof? Hindi ko in-expect na ganito ang mangyayari. The impact was stronger than I thought. The smoke went to Geof. Oh no…

Did it hit him, too?

The smoke was slowly disappearing. "Geof…" Dannie said his name at nakita namin si Geof na tumatakbo tapos hinahabol siya ng mga zombies sa right side naman niya pero napansin namin nna mas dumami siya.

"Geof, okay ka lang?" I asked and he quickly responded but it was obvious that he is tired.

"Okay lang yung plano." Sabi ni Geof. "Pero kalahati lang ang natamaan sa Granada. Kaya nung tumakbo ako, half ng mga zombies sa left side ko, hinahabol ako ngayon." He said finally and Dannie butted in.

"Sorry…" she apologized but Geof didn't answer because he was too busy running away from the zombies. So as the planner for today's combat, I acte quickly and responsibly to make sure that the plan is going through smoothly.

"Geof, from the looks of it, you're almost near the tree." Sabi ko sa kanya tapos nag respond naman siya kaagad sa sinabi ko because it is plan driven.

"Oo, malapit na ako." Sagot niya sa akin and I nodded even though he's not seeing what I am doing. It's just my assurance that the actions are happening according to plan. I don't want this to fail and I don't want any of us to get killed.

"Tumaas ka sa mga branches. High as possible para hindi ka maabot ng grenade pag bato namin. I ordered and he answered.

"Copy." Sabi na lang niya over the walkie-talkie and we already saw him climbing his way up the tree fast. May mga ibang tumataas rin dahil nahablot niya yung paa niya, but Dannie's father suddenly killed the zombie. He's really a good soldier. His training is really effective in these kinds of situations.

Tumataas na siya but he suddenly stopped when he almost reached the top part of the tree. Bigla akong nagtaka. Bakit siya tumigil? Wala pa siya sa taas, tumitigil na siya. Is there something wrong?

"Bakit siya tumigil? Paano ko mababato ang grenade kung—" hindi siya pinatapos ng tatay niya. Bigla kasing may naobserbahan.

"Shh… pakinggan niyo ng Mabuti." Sabi niya and bilang tumahimmik ang lahat ng umaatake ng zombies. We heard the groans of the zombie pero may narinig din kaming iba sa pangyayari ngayon. This part was so unexpected, that it made us think… what is this? What is happening?
