บท 7: Chapter 6
Once we met back up with Cressida and Ordan, Juduan introduced me to his travel men. He always take a tracker, Ordan, two warriors, Silver and Grey, and a royal servant, Trent. Silver and Grey were two brothers, Grey being a year older. They definitely fit the description of warriors wolves with their height and muscle. Trent was a scrawny man that stood about my height and wore glasses.
"I mean of no disrespect," Grey points out with a look my way before looking back to Juduan, "why does the Queen scent mix with the reek of Vampire?"
"You didn't tell them?" I look to him not offended by the question.
Juduan shook his head, "It's yours to tell. Plus, you do not reek of anything, my Queen."
"Speak for yourself, King Juduan," Silver scuff with a smile, "you're the Queens mate! I bet you just smell sunshine and rainbows."
Juduan shrugged knowingly with a small shrug and smile.
I look to the group of men, "do I really smell that bad?"
They all nod in unison, even Trent.
"Don't worry about it Asena," Cressida piped up from her stretch position on the hood of her car, "The vamp smell is only dominant because your wolf is MIA at the moment. Your vampire scent won't reek as much once she returns."
"So, the queen is a hybrid?" Trent asks to no one in particular.
"Is that a problem?" Juduan and I question with clearly different tones.
"No," everyone answer at once.
"I'm actually glad that we'll have our true Queen instead of that low..." Grey was immediately cut off from finishing his sentence by a hard slap to the head by his brother.
Juduan shifts slightly next to me as a faint sense of nervousness flys through him. My mate doesnt seem like the type of person who gets nervous. It's clear that what ever, Grey, was about to mention is something he's dreading to confront.
"Something the matter, Juduan?" I question him with a raise eyebrow.
"We can deal with it once we reach home," he mumbles dismissing the whole topic before he walks away to help Silver scowl Grey for speaking out of turn.
"Well, let's hit the road royals," Cressida calls out hoping off her car, "We can get there by night fall if everyone speeds."
Trent look to Cressida with disbelief, "I advise we disregard Vision Cressida last suggestion."
"It's whatever," she shrugs opening the drivers door of her car, "I'll see you guys when you get there."
"Wait," I call to Cressida walking over to the passenger seat of her car, "I'm riding with you." I can feel Juduan's eyes heavily on me but he didn't say a word to stop me.
"Let's head out and we'll see how far we get by dusk," Juduan orders a second later.
"That insinuates that we're not speeding right?"
"Trent, just close your eyes and count to ten," Sliver comforts him with a simple pat on his back.
"What do I do after I reach ten," Trent question as everyone venture to there respect cars.
"Go ahead and start on over," Grey chuckles before I slip into the car with Cressida.
She didn't even hesitate to put the car in gear and speed off onto the road. I run my hands through my hair with a frown, feeling remotely empty at the absence of Juduan presents. It just sucks that he rather let us, no, me face something blindsided without discussing it before hand. Grey was in the moment of mentioning how he was glad I'm the true Queen. Was another female trying to impose as my mate, mate's? Does Juduan has a mistress that he's afraid to mention? I can feel myself getting more and more pissed off at the thought of my mate with another female.
"Asena?" Cressida voice filter through my anger.
"Yeah," I calmly replied looking away from the window to her.
"How are you feeling?" She genuinely ask as she drove the car at a impressive speed.
I took a deep breath letting the thoughts of Juduan and another female leave from the forefront of my mind, "I actually feel the same just a little colder."
"I'm sure the blood should fully settle in by tomorrow and we should fully know what characteristics you posses of those blood suckers."
I nod with understanding as my fingers fidget against my knee, "do you think people will accept my new nature?"
"No, the royals werewolves only tolerate vampires because of the treaty signed hundreds of years ago. I'm warning you now, Asena, not everyone is going to accept one as there queen."
I didn't choose to be mated to the king of werewolves or to be part vampire. It's apparently the destiny and curse bestowed upon me by the Moon Goddess. I already have trouble remembering things, then I became a hybrid, now I have to worry about being a Queen with the duties and backlash that come with it.
"Just sit back and get some rest, Asena. You have nothing to worry about."
I look to her with a raise brow, wondering if that's the vision talking or her.

"Asena," Juduan deep but comforting voice filter through my sleep.
I stir from my sleep slowly unfolding myself in the passenger seat of Cressida car. It took me a minute, like always, to wake up and gather myself. Juduan waited patiently as I scanned the wall of trees around us before turning my attention to him. His dark eyes scan over my bed face with little shame. He raised his hand to softly brush a chuck of my hair away from my face before resting it against my cheek.
"Where are we," I question as tingles spread across my cheek.
"Just outside the kingdom," he answers pulling away slightly to help me out the car.
"Where's everyone?" I ask noticing the cars but not one person in sight.
"I sent them away, so I could talk to you before we enter the kingdom."
"About what," I sighed leaning back against the car with my arm crossed.
He close the passenger door before moving to stand in front of me. I can feel my body react with a flare of heat to his closeness. I wonder how much he felt with the full mate bond on his side?
"A law was made during the crowning of my great great grandfather. It's written that the next Alpha King in line cannot take the throne until he has marked his Queen. My grandfather had trouble finding his mate and still didn't find her once he turned the crowning age of twenty five."
I listen to his every word knowing that this talk will explain the reason of the other female in his life.
"So, the council implemented a law that by the age of nineteen the Queen must choose a she wolf to train as the next Queen. If the Alpha in line couldn't find his mate by a week until the crowning ceremony he was to mate with the chosen she wolf," he finish finally looking me straight in the eye.
"How much time until your crowning ceremony," I ask not really wanting to know the answer. Everyone already calls him King Juduan, so the ceremony has already passed or its near.
"It's two weeks away," he voice lowly.
I felt a ball of jealousy and rage build inside me. This female was just a week away from taking what was mind. I probably don't even want to know what training the Luna consists of. Just thinking about someone else standing next to his side makes me boil. I already hated the female even though I've never met the girl in my life.
"What happens now that you've found me?" I question looking to him with sweaty hands.
"I present you to my people as my mate and the Queen of the wolves," he states without a slight hesitation.
