In his past lives there was more gratitude for the people around him than the feeling of love. Thinking back, 'The System has not only let me get the chance to better a new life. It has let me learn love.'
In his encounter with addiction, he was so deep into the gaping hole that all thoughts of love and affection were crossed out from his mind.
So taking on these new missions in this True Beauty universe he has not expected that his acts in the beginning has transformed slowly into a sincere desire to get to know her more and more.
The next day he was about to find Jugyeong but found that she's already gone from her seat.
She was on the rooftop sitting on the ground hugging her legs to hide her tears. Obviously trying to control the wild emotions inside. It's not strange for students at this age trying to find themselves.
Surprisingly she felt a warm hand softly soothing her head, "Jugyeong, don't cry."
Looking up she sees a familiar face smiling at her warmly. Pairs of eyes that look into her, "...Woohyun?" She mutters softly his name like everything is all a dream to her.
Catching her in a surprise Tony hugs her into his embrace. Her heart almost skipped a beat by this sudden move that she could only imagine in her wildest dreams.
"I know how hard it is to go through all of this by yourself. Just know that I will always be here if you need my help," saying as he embraces her in his arms.
Releasing her from his arms he slowly reexamined her expression. Jugyeong never knew somebody cared for her so much, "Thanks Woohyun...It's just an argument with my mother."
Taking out a handkerchief from his pocket Tony wipes away the tears from the corner of her eye. Eyes softened to her vulnerable appearance, "Silly Jugyeong. I thought you were going to do something stupid."
"Oh sorry. Did I?" She scratches her head with an awkward smile.
"Here are some more sushi. I thought you enjoyed them yesterday so I made more for you," Tony reaches into his backpack to take out the food he made for her.
"Sushi! Thank you Woohyun," she gives him a friendly hug in thankfulness. Licking her lips in excitement.
"The snack bar already ran out of food," Tony mentions as he hands her the glass food container, "You're lucky I brought some food for you."
"OMG! It's even more delicious than the ones from yesterday," exclaiming as she reviews the taste.
"I know what will cheer you up. You know that horror movie that's been popular right now," he grinned as he piqued her interest.
"Huh. How did you know I wanted to watch it," her eyes glowing trying to contain everything all in. Thinking to herself, 'Is this telepathy? How did he know I was interested? Lover's telepathy?'
If Tony knew what she was thinking he wouldn't even know how to respond. Probably on the line of her being too much of a fujoshi.
"I've got you a ticket for this sunday," with a crafty grin as he pulled out two tickets from his pocket.
She was putting her hand up close as though it was some treasured dollar bills, 'My idol is asking me out on another date!? Thank God!!'
Putting the movie ticket into her palm, "I've got to go to the classroom. See you then." Winking at her as he stood up and left the rooftop.
On the day of the movie Jugyeong barely finished her lunch before she realized that she had forgotten all about the date. It's not unusual for her to wake up late on the weekend so it was an unusual change for her weekly schedule.
Rushing down the building she breathed a sigh of relief as she caught Tony standing there with his back turned waiting for her.
'Thank God Woohyun waited for me,' wiping away the sweat from running hurriedly out the door, 'I'm leaving so many bad impressions to my idol.' Thinking with regret.
Hearing a sound at the door Tony turned around to see Jugyeong waving at him amidst trying to catch her breath.
Today he was wearing a brown overcoat and brown short men's boot. With a white t-shirt underneath, complemented with comfortable blue jeans.
And as usual wearing a pair of black glasses with black cap to cover his head. The last time when he didn't wear them to stay undercovered his fans started a riot by gathering around him for autographs.
"Sorry. Because of me we're going to be so late!" She was bowing in an apologetic manner.
"No it's fine. There's still some time," looking at the time from his watch.
"Wait what time is it…?" Taking a close look at the time on the watch, "12:03!!! The movie already started!"
She was walking quickly with Tony following closely as they headed for the theatre. Seeing that the place in the far distance she speeded across the street without looking at the lights.
BEEP BEEP
The sound of a truck's horn blows. As she turns her head to look she sees the car light of a massive truck coming in her direction.
A hand quickly grabbed at her arm and whisk her away from the rushing truck. However, it was impossible to avoid the water splashing from the truck hitting a puddle as it went by.
Luckily he blocked much of the water from getting on her clothing when he grabbed her from the truck.
Her heart was beating as loud as a fire alarm going off, "OMG! I almost got killed!!" Calming her heart a little she turned to see Tony's clothing soaked from the whole back and right side.
"Woohyun you clothes are soaked!" She wasn't aware that the splash from the puddle was that much.
He was still looking into her eyes, seeing if everything was alright with her, "Ah. You didn't get hurt did you?"
"What should we do!!!!? You clothings' all wet," exclaiming in horror at the bad luck she caused.
"You're also got it splashed all over your pants," examining her clothings.
"I'm fine…! Shouldn't you get changed?"
"Yeah. You wanna come over to my home," finally realizing the coldness of the water soaking into his layers close to his skin.
'Is Woohyun inviting me over...To h-his house…?!!!!!'
