บท 22: Chapter 21: The First Meeting

After confusing that guy, Ikki, Skylar went to eat something with the guys before going back to the Ship. They did not have a chief yet and Skylar is not gonna waste his time cooking for them so they have to eat outside or cook for themselves.

Plus they're on land right now, maybe if they were sailing and were in the middle of the ocean he would cook for them. Or he might just take some people good at making food with them.

Well, as they entered the restaurant all the eyes fell on them, looks of surprise, looks of worship, look of respect and looks of disgust!? were aimed at them when they spotted down. The waitress was polite and even asked if she could join the crew as a maid.

You can take it however you like it but almost everybody present in the room were shy to present themselves and seriously, Skylar did not see anyone with potential there. Well, if you're a real anime and manga fan you have to know that almost all the kids with great potential are found in the slums or live in great households but are being discriminated against.

He also did not have much hope to find talented people soon, he did not even make a name for himself yet, he is not trying to find a disciple yet. Plus he is 18 years old, who would want a 18 years old master.

Anyway they quickly finished eating and went to the Ship to do their things.

_____________ The New T Pirate Ship |□| In the Meeting Room inside of the Ship ____________

In the meeting only meeting room they have in the entire ship, Skylar, Shin, Barry and Paul was sitting around a round table of about twenty chairs. This the first meeting of the high crew member of the New T Pirates.

"Tonight, we're going to stat a meeting to talk about decisions that needs to be taken and things that need to be done" Skylar was the first one to talk

"Aye sir" They all said in unison but then Shin interrupted

"Why is this guy here? He ain't part of the main crew" Shin asked

"I have chosen as the representative of the rankers" Skylars answered

"The rankers?!?" Shin asked confused, even Barry was confused

"It's a name I came with for the people that are below the 10th rank." Skylar explained

"The rankers... that's quite a good name" Shin said

"I know the name is clean, then without further ado let's start with the first meeting! Paul first introduce yourself" Skylar said

"Good evening everyone, First I wanna start by thanking my lord for giving me the privilege of participating in this meeting" He started while standing up "My name is Paul McCartney and I'm part of the Hand to Hand Martial Arts group led by my lord" He said while sitting down one again

"Good, we're going to start the meeting now." Skylar said as he took out a piece of paper and gave it to Barry for him to read out loud "Barry, you can start"

"Alright, first we're gonna talk about the influx of people wanting to join the crew! Anyone can give their suggestions on how to solve the problem" Barry said as he took out a pair of glasses from his pocket and put it on

"Alright so listen, first, we're going to change the system!"

"Change the system? How?" Shin asked

"Yes, nothing is wrong with the current system we're using so we're no gonna change much. The only thing worth changing is the way of joining" Skylar started "Let me elaborate!"

"Right now we are just accepting whoever wants to join and I do not think that it is a good thing, some of them may have bad intentions and once they're in they might start to destroy us from the inside

"Now what we need to do is to create some kind of camp for everyone that wants to join. We're gonna start by forging them there and monitor them at the same time. If the said person is not acting strange or is not trying to influence other members to rebel or something like that they will be allowed to officially enter the crew

"But if we find something strange about them we're gonna investigate it further and eliminate them if we deem it dangerous for our and the crew's safety." Skylar finished talking and looked at everyone

"I think it's a good idea, but if we make a camp we have to take care of a lot of things, like what will they learn in the camp how will they be evaluated to be eligible and things like that" Shin said

"Lord Shin is right, we have to consider a lot of things, and as for what the members will learn in the camp I have some ideas. If we want them to be loyal we need to incorporate them our beliefs and ideology, once that happen we need to teach them ways to survive and fighting abilities" Barry said

"How about we make them choose between the three classes, Hand to Hand combat, Hidden weapon fighting style and Swordsmanship while they are at the camp" Paul suggested

"That's a good idea, if we see what they talent is early on we can nurture them better and faster" Shin exclaimed

"That's good and all but what if they don't have talent for any of those?" Barry contradicted

"In that case we have to search where they talent is. Everyone has a talent somewhere they just fail to discover it" Shin said

"Shin is right" Skylar stepped in the debate "In my opinion There are two types of pirates in the world, the supportive type and the fighters" Skylar said as he put two fingers up

"The supportive pirates are the pirates that help the crew when they are in the middle of the sea, like the cook, the shipwright, the musician etc. But they usually have the ability to protect themselves, Then we have the fighters, they those that are specialised in fighting, attack other ships and defend the ship in the front lines when being attacked. In the main crew we can say that Shin is the fighter but we do not have any Supporter type, for now" Skyla explained his concept

"Then you mean to say if the recruits in the camp have no talent in fighting we can train them as supporters?"Barry asked

"Yes and that closes this topic, now let's get to the next problem!" Skylar said "Next we have to worry about the land we would make our camp in"

"A good place to put our camp on?!? What about cleaning some part of the forest and settling there" Shin suggested

"No, I don't think it's a good idea plus we don't have enough manpower to do it on our own, Lord Shin is strong but alone you wouldn't be able to do it. If it was that easy the people on the jeju Island would have taken control of the forest a long time ago" Barry said as he started to write something on the pieces of papers given by Skylar

"Barry is right but we can still use the forest as a training place for the regular members to gain experience" Skylar started "Shin, in three days I want you to gather all the crew members, go to the Forest and train them for some days" Skylar ordered

"Aye sir" Shin answered

"Now about the land to use for the camp what about the tournament area" Skylar proposed

"That's a good idea, this evening the group sent there came back and reported to me" Paul said

"Oh! What did they say?" Skylar asked

"They said that the place is pretty much desolate as few people live there and that the place has a lot of unoccupied lands, I was supposed to report that to Lord Barry tonight" Paul said

"That's a good thing to hear, Barry you will take care of that. Manage everything and within ten days I need a solid camp where people can live and train in without problems" Skylar ordered

"I will do my best, my lord"

"Paul, I want you to take care of newcomers until the camp is finished. Accommodate them and start their training after explaining the situation to them. I expect a lot from you" Skylar said looking at Paul's eyes

"Yes my lord!" Paul said and bowed his head

Skylar got up and said "That ends today's Meeting, As of now, every end of a week we will hold a meeting. So everyone can go a d rest for today

""Aye sir"" they sir they all said in unison and went out of the meeting room

Ikki was still confused after he heard what Skylar said, he thought that he was the only one that was not originally from this world. He never knew that there would be someone from the said world as him here.

After spending 18 years in this world without finding no clue to why he was killed by that being and transmitted here, it went to the point where he had lost hope and decided to live here and protect his new family and friends.

But suddenly, someone he has never heard of came out of nowhere and that person even knew his dear ones from his past world.

Without knowing it Ikki cracked a smile and thought in his head "I need to go see him tomorrow"
