บท 44: Chimerical War (Part 2)
Bast was locked in a heated battle of her own, the title of Number 1 Chimera had inspired 3 other Chimera's to ally together to take her down.
Bast controlled 50 small green chimerical orbs.
"How does she have so many!" the other Chimera's were shocked, "She's cheating! quickly report her!"
Bast rolled her eyes and snarled savagely at them, "Divide and conquer," were the only words that left her mouth, she constructed a wall from her chimerical orbs, every single one wad embedded into her defense.
"So what? there's three of us, we can break through, charge!" one of them shouted to encourage the other two who seemed to fear Bast's defense.
In fact Bast knew her defenses were not impenetrable, but she still exhibited an aura of confidence.
the three charging toward her had constructed their orbs into various forms, one of them was a large 40 foot long blue spear, it sped through the air leaving behind a dense blue blur.
His companions had worked together to form a huge ballista which had flung him towards the wall, after which they had converted the form into an army of mounted soldiers, they charged towards the wall looking to circumvent and exploit any cracks or weaknesses.
However, Bast's wall was not quite so simple, as they neared it the wall began its offensive.
Sharp spikes shot out from the previously smooth green wall, striking anything in its vicinity. Bast's laughter rang clear and sweet on the battlefield, a large shield protruded from the wall to receive the incoming spear, dazzling green and blue sparks erupted from the clash.
The shield detonated, dealing damage and instantly destroyed the tip of the spear.
the owner of the blue chimerical orbs hadn just lost 20% of his orbs, his combat power weakening drastically.
However he didn't give up, he reformed the tip of his spear, and using 5 chimerical orbs at the butt of the spear, caused them to detonate and shot towards the wall once more.
Bast seeing no reason to take this strike head on immediately dissolved her wall, to her it was still a win having caused her opponent to destroy his own orbs without having to take any action. He shot past her and flew off into the distance at an incredible speed.
Bast faced the remaining two, who were still charging towards her orbs.
"Since you dare to attack, you should be prepared for the results, come!" Bast laughed, a hint of mania tinging her voice, she was really into the game.
Her orbs split once again, they were all incredibly small, there were perhaps a thousand orbs circling above her head.
With pinpoint accuracy Bast sent orb after orb flying at the constructed army, they detonated one by one leaving huge gaping holes in the army formation.
She soon wiped them out and the two Chimera's were eliminated.
Angry Vegetables and his partner Tall Hands fumed in the spectator lobby.
"That woman is a demon!" Angry Vegetables yelled.
"How is she this good? This game is only a few days old!" Tall Hands was equally upset.
Soft Peas was sitting beside them, he naturally knew the origins of the game having been there when it was first discovered by everyone else.
He pointed to a location on the screen,
"Brothers, look here. You see that guy?" he asked them while pointing at the image of Ra,
Tall Hands and Angry Vegetables looked at him strangely, "Yeah, what about him?" they retorted flippantly, slightly annoyed at his questioning.
Soft Peas wasn't bothered by this and continued, "Apparently that guy made this game up when he was a child and that girl happens to be his girlfriend, they've been playing for years." He said calmly, his gaze was on the screen as he spoke as he watched Ra perform one amazing feat after another.
"look! he only has two orbs left and still none of them are his opponent!" he exclaimed as Ra directly eliminated another player from the game, this player, Menacing Axe, quickly appeared inside the spectator lobby. Upon arriving he roared angrily, soft peas patted his shoulder consoling before returning to the match.
Only 5 Chimera's remained in the game.
They were Ra'bel, Queen Bast, Set, Visionary, and iDominate.
iDominate and Set were in a deadlock, Visionary was on his last legs fleeing Queen Bast' pursuit, and Ra'bel...
Ra had taken up residence inside of a castle, one chimerical orb gave him a birds-eye view of the map, he sat on a throne appearing to be extremely relaxed.
His plan was simple, let them duke it out and he'd play clean up with the weakened remains.
"Hehe they think I only have two orbs, I merely fused the remaining orbs together, I'll prepare a good surprise for them." he laughed to himself.
He wasn't unprotected he'd set many detonating chimerical orbs around the entrance to the castle.
They were quite inconspicuous.
"Ra, I know you're in there, come out!
He could hear Bast yelling from outside the castle, regardless he didn't budge.
After waiting a short while Bast yelled again, "I know you've set traps around the entrance!"
Ra groaned and rolled his eyes.
He left the a few orbs behind on the throne and flew out to meet Bast who was hovering above the castle.
She was wrapped in a green gas cloud that spread out in every direction, Ra couldn't even get close.
"Poison again Bast?" he sighed
She shrugged, "It ain't broke," was her reply.
With a grin she sent the cloud in his direction hoping to defeat him in one move, Ra created a small whirlwind with his orbs, purifying the immediate surrounding air.
Having been struck with inspiration, he used a really small orb to rapidly spin around his head, creating a sort of wind helmet that allowed him to breathe.
He flew into the poisonous cloud with a grin.
"Wanna see my new trick?" he asked, his lips twisted into a mischievous grin.
"If you still have tricks just take them out, why beat around the bush." Bast was feeling super confident, she had no doubt she'd win this contest.
Suddenly Ra's orbs began emitting a strange energy, they pelted bast with fire and lightning, forcing her out of the air.
A series of small explosions accompanied each lightning strike and blast of fire.
and since Bast had been surrounded by her remaining orbs she was instantly eliminated.
Silver lettering appeared in the air. [Winner: Ra'bel!]
