"Yes, Miss Xinying!" The head of the security was stumped by her intelligent answer. He left her to visit the apartments as indicated by Feng Xinying. 

Xie Shengjun arrived a few minutes later. However, he came with the surgeon who had operated upon Xie Yuansheng. Feng Xinying sprang from her bed and went to them. "How is he doctor?" she asked. 

"Well, he is still unconscious… We will watch him for some more time. He should have come back to consciousness by now…" he replied looking dejected.

Feng Xinying's mind became numb. She felt as though she was about to faint. "How long do we wait?" she asked in a very low voice, almost scared of the answer. 

"Another twenty four hours…"

Feng Xinying's skin lined with goose bumps. She bit her lower lip in nervousness and caught the end of her dress. Was she about to enter the nightmare of her life?

Xie Shengjun, on the other felt winded. He held the chair in front of him and sat down.
