"Are we finished?" Avos looked around to ensure there were no more enemies waiting nearby.

"I doubt they're done. They might have retreated, but according to my spirits, when I asked them about the situation regarding the Beastmen, those guys won't just back away easily unless they think it's nearly impossible. Right now, though, I think they're just going to regroup and return," Renatta wiped off the blood that had splashed on her cheek.

"So, are you suggesting we follow them?" Sora asked.

"No. If we assume the fastest they can gather reinforcements and devise strategies to stop us, we can expect a second battle tomorrow. We'll need to rest for half a day and prepare for their next assault," Renatta calculated.

"What if your calculation is wrong? What if they don't need to prepare and can just send their men straight to us?"
