บท 28: He Remembered The Beautiful Damsel
While Jasmine had her day full with activities of the ceremony, Sonal was bored at home, her dad was not around, he was away for work at the military base.
Her mum was out chit chatting with her socialites friends who are just like her, that don't like those ceremonies after ceremonies.
They preferred to have fun by having tea or shopping like the youngsters or chit chatting like they did earlier today.
Sonal had called Yash a couple of times, though he was with his bed mate, he gave the excuse that he was at home helping out his family with the ceremonies.
Sonal watched zee world, Hindi news and had her afternoon nap. As at the time she woke up in her room, it was 5pm, ceremonies has ended.
She called Jasmine to find out how the ceremony over at her house went, Jasmine was so busy helping out her mum tidying up.
The maids had their hands full as well, every member of her house had one thing to do or the other.
As at the time Jasmine's phone rang, she was expecting her fiance Rohit to call and tell her he got to Bombay Safe, but it was Jasmine.
Jasmine is her best friend but she needed a boyfriend's call at that moment. She picked up the phone, hello Sonal she said, hello Jasmine replied Sonal.
Was bored all day, just calling to find out from you how the ceremony went over there. Well Sonal it all went fine, am tidying up at the moment. Please can we talk later? Alright Jasmine, later girl. They both ended the call.
Meanwhile in Bombay...
Rohit got to Bombay Safe, he informed his dad, mum, relatives and the firm of his safe arrival over the phone.
Afterwards he informed Bhatt Conglomerates of his arrival, the company Burih firm was going to do business with.
He was later informed that a ball has been set up for all partners and future partners of the firm. He acknowledged he would be present at the ball.
He said to him self, I will call Jasmine after the ball, we would have time to gist over the phone. So he thought, but little did he know that the fate of his relationship with her had ended the moment he stepped his foot in Bombay.
At the Ball...
He was welcomed by the Vice President of Bhatt Conglomerates, Vijay Bhatt. Vijay took him round the ball and introduced him to the board of directors, partners and dignitaries of Bhatt Conglomerates.
Finally he introduced him to the president of Bhatt Conglomerates, his father, Ravi Bhatt. There Rohit said Namaste sir, clicked classes with the president and proceeded with Vijay to enjoy the ball.
The night was still young, the MC. opened the floor of the ball, many famous artist performed, there was also the dance. And to close the ceremony, Sunita Bhatt, daughter of Ravi Bhatt performed a piece on the piano. She was a professional and not a prodigy.
Every one wowed and cheered after her performance. The MC. then called on the president to give the closing speech. After the closing speech, the ball came to an end.
When the ball ended, Rohit decided to talk to the president of Bhatt Conglomerates briefly to get a head start in the business, he wanted to be at advantage. He figured this was the right time to start.
As he moved closer to the president, everyone was paying their respect to him as they left, the vice president was at his side.
As he got closer to him, the crowed cleared but the president's bodyguards were close bye.
When he got close to the president, the bodyguards blocked him. He quickly spoke up and said Namaste Mr. President, it's me Rohit from Burih Firm.
The president recognised him from earlier and spoke up, let him through. The bodyguards obey and cleared a path for him to meet up with the president.
When he got close to the president, he greeted again, Namaste Mr. President, he introduced himself all over again.
He was tensed at first but later his tension eased on seeing Vijay beside the president and coming to know the president was not hostile if you mean genuine business.
He was about to start off with business discussion when the president cut him short.
Rohit, I think you should go take a rest like the others, we would discuss business on Monday.
He continued, in the mean time tomorrow, enjoy the city while you still can. Business is tasky and I don't hesitate to cut off un serious partners or intending partners.
The ball was fun, let's call it a day. At that words, the president moved towards the exit and his bodyguards guarded both him and the Vice President.
The president retired to his luxurious mansion while Rohit retired to his luxurious suite. When he got to the suite, he freshened up again and decided to go to bed.
When he laid on his bed, his mind was occupied first with the strategies he had to win over the contract. He made the trip to Bombay before his assistant and he was determined he was not going to fail but to succeed.
His assistant who would be with him in the conference room of Bhatt Conglomerates was to arrive the next day.
After thinking and strategizing business in his head, he then thought of the ball and how it was fun and how his assistant missed out on it.
All of a sudden, he remembered the beautiful Damsel who performed using the piano. She was so beautiful in his eyes that he wondered who she was and if he would see her again.
His thoughts about the beauty he beheld at the ball was so deep that he forgot he had not contacted his fiancee all day. Soon after he slept off.
