I dragged my friend Cheok Hee along inside the room after insulting him which I definitely didn't regretted.
"Don't you fear him ?"
As I close the door behind me she questioned with shocking expressions.
"Anniyo what's there to fear such an arrogant jerk."
"But still he's your boss what if he fired you ?"
She plopped on the bed comfortably with legs beneath hips. I chuckled wholeheartedly while she stared at me unbelievably.
"What huh ? why are you laughing ?"
I tried to control my laughter.
"Fire me ? He himself is fired...I mean he is hiding from his father and doesn't hold any power."
I whispered the later part cautiously.
"Whoa ! you know such a big secret."
"Yeah I met Mr Qi who offered me this job. He's incharge of me not this moron."
I winked devilishly upon various naughty thoughts which were popping in my mind to take revenge of what he did earlier to me.
"Oh you got a hold of a shark !"
I chuckled again.
"Yeah sort of. Let's leave this now tell me about something new."
"Oh yes the company has gone bankrupt and someone mysterious bought it with mentioning his or her name. Maybe that's the end."
I sighed hopelessly.
"Yeah maybe I'd forget it. "
I took the seat close by her.
"You should move on now. It's no use to re-open the case and to claim back your bakery. It's all gone with the company now."
"Yes that's what I think I should give up on the bakery of my father but my heart can't take it what's stolen from me !"
I half yelled controlling my anger which was rising within me upon the certain thought. After my parents died in car accident I was reduced to take refuge in orphanage. Meanwhile that stupid company stole the land of our bakery and surrounding area for making a grand mall.
"I know my love but what can you do ? Would you go after finding that mysterious man who bought that company and it's whole shares and all those shitty pieces of land."
Cheok Hee waved her hand in air carelessly.
"OH YEEEAH !"
My mind ran faster than bullet train, moron Cheok Hee didn't know what she did just now.
"Aren't you gonna treat me something? "
She laid back scanning the room.
"You gluttonous pig !"
And we laughed along.
"Aye don't ever call me fatty. I'm just bulky. By the way how are you breathing in these..."
I shut her by placing hand on mouth instantly.
"Sshusshh just whisper these kinda things, I'm undercover."
"Oh yeah yeah...how are you breathing in these chest bandages, isn't it tight ?"
She whispered close to my ear inquiringly.
"It is but as I told yaa earlier I'm an undercover agent."
I curled my hands into fists and in an excited manner chipped. While she giggled out loud.
"Isn't that new edition of comics ? Whoa you've a settlement here. I'm sure."
Without considering my reply she leaped towards the side table.
"HEY STOP RIGHT THERE GIRL YOU'RE RUINING ME !"
I shrieked knowing that she'll take my treasure with her. Before I'd pull her shirt Kang rushed in panting.
"NO - STOP !"
We both couldn't register for what he barged in but shouted forcefully with rage in eyes.
"What ?"
We questioned in unison. Embarrassed with hesitation in tone he scratched cheek.
"Uh I .....I came to ask whether you guys need something to drink ?"
Suspiciously I stepped towards him narrowing my eyes.
"Really ? Sure ?"
"Ah yes yes...I'll head back and fetch for you guys."
He dashed out with a blushed red face.
"What's with this guy ?"
Cheok Hee pouted while she started to go through the pages.
" Never mind. He behaves like a psychopath.....unpredictable you know."
I rolled my eyes annoyingly.
"So what if he find out that you're deceiving him then ? I'm sure this psychopath will take you by neck."
She muttered my fear.
"Well I'm playing cautiously. He won't ever find out about me. Moreover his father is supporting me and knows everything. I don't think so he have any temerity to stand upto him otherwise he wouldn't be hiding here like a coward."
"You've a point. I'm just worried about you. Fortunately you got someone to back you up and I don't want you to suffer anymore."
She pat my shoulder I'd see her worrisome face. After all she was there by my side every time I needed her.
"By the way just imagine if this billionaire jerk marries you, how fascinating it would be."
She held me tight in embrace as with one hand she played the whole picture.
"No way I won't ever marry him. I just.....just don't want him."
Honestly I don't want to get involve in this kinda stupid shit.
"Aw girl what if he fell for you. I mean look at you_"
Dragging me along she took me in front of mirror to justify her prediction.
"Just look at yourself even dressed as a man you're tempting, an eye feast."
For once my gaze slid upon the reflection and scanned the features.
"Aye no girl. Honestly that's not gonna happen from both sides. Don't over think."
I lied bluntly knowing that indeed I was looking great. But there is no way he would fall for me. Even if that happens in near future he'll leave me immediately for deceiving him. I just had to complete my task and leave without any emotional attachment.
Without a knock the door flew open and Kang was standing with some snacks and drinks.
"Here you go . Can I join in ?"
Eagerly he stared at us with a puppy face.
"No we're going out for shopping. Right my love ?"
I slipped my arm into Cheok Hee's and declined him.
"Oh great then I can come, right ? Don't worry I'll pay too."
I knew he proposed that idea after seeing Cheok Hee's drooling -dumbfound expressions. While she scanned his silhouette and dreamed everything that could be called "nasty" with him. And he took advantage of it to cling onto us-or me !
"Yes Yes Boss please. "
She clapped cheerfully while he smirked.
"See you're just a meanie kwon, your BEST FRIEND is quite nice."
He went for her wrist and she followed him leaving me behind boiling in rage.
