บท 2: Another endless night

September 24th, 2021.

Felix found himself awakening back in the same alley he had found the night before. As he blinked open his narrow, sorrowed eyes, they fell upon the cigar from yesterday, damp and dead. As he observed his surroundings, he realized he had been sitting upright, his back against a cold, rotting brick wall. The cement below him had been cracked and dusty, making it uncomfortable to sit upon.

Felix brought his hands to his sides, and slid his legs towards his torso, and used his lower body to help himself up against the distasteful wall.

When he got to his feet, he pat his uncovered thighs, making sure no dust was stuck to them. Just as he did so, he heard heavy footsteps to his right, the entrance of the alleyway. He lifted his head to find a tall, slim figure. Maybe about 6'2'', and his green eyes looked down at Felix nonchalantly. The strange man's eyebrows lowered angrily, the corners of his lips curling downwards.

``Felix,`` The tall figure spat, taking a few steps towards him,

``You've to come back to the agency. There's a riot, and we need your abilities. As what we *designed* you for,`` He growled, standing in front of Felix as Felix cowered.
