บท 13: The Terror of the Rift
"Ahhh! Splat splat!" Blood splattered everywhere. A man's body was torn apart in two sections. his lifeless eyes looked at the last thing that caused his wicked destiny, a monster of unknown origin as it massacred everyone else as well.
"Groooar!" A high bass groan voice comes from the deep corridor. The monster depicted as two meters in height. Its tail is big and long enough to cover his entire body and sharp spike like torn grows over it. His teeth are so largely uneven and sharp enough to break metal into pieces.
Slam! Its tail hit a person in front of him. As all of its spikes plunge deeper into that human body, fresh blood was splashed everywhere.
"Kuaaak!" the person who was hit by its tail who can't even react let out a helpless moan as he drew his last breath.
The monster then grabbed another person, as its hand is big enough to hold a human face whole. "Craack." The monster lift the human before its huge claws crushed his head. The headless figure then slowly being eaten by the monster. His creepy mouth let loose the miasma stored inside his body just like the body odor from his mouth. The monster enjoyed his food at last, as if this place was prepared for its dine in.
"Aaah help me!" Suddenly a voice break out the silence of the tragedy. He was one of the survivor but his stupid action soon will make his life cut. As the monster turning his head to his direction. It started to run with four legged style. In just split second, the man was pounched by its beastly body.
"...." A moment of silent returned as the voice of cracking and flesh stripping can be heard through the whole place. It is so chilling and fearsome for every body if they were all still alive. It was so brutal and this monster might be depicted as the cruel executioner.
However, there is one person. He is quite skilfull in hiding himself. Silently looking at the monster from a small hole of the secret room. Even though tears continually streams through his cheeks. He remained composed and gritting his teeth as if he was so mad. In his head now there was no more things left but only the feels of despair and depravity. A family that was once a happy memory now was ripped apart infront of his eyes.
"I will one day make sure to kill you, by my own hands." As he hardened his fist.
The monster which seemed very full now slowly leave the area. Its huge figure slowly faded away with darkness."Kieeeek." as his last scream echoed the whole room once more. The monster let out a cry that seemed to be intimidating and mocking someone else. It knew that there was someone who still survive however it just want to rest due to his happy meal time earlier.
The man who hid himself in the secret chamber still waited until the morning where he has clear visions of everything. The smell of blood, part of unrecognized human body filled the air as he vomited so much. He couldn't bear the scenery of the "Maro Family" house. This was his birthplace, this was a place filled with laughter but now only corpses remained. His loyal servant Abel, his loyal guard Tejou both are people who continuously brighten their days, his mom and father who were to late to enter the secret chambers. Their remains were incomplete. These conditions made it so hard to recognize their identity. However this man continued to walk. He bears the name of Sole Maro family now. He can't afford to die here and must continue the path that his family gave to him to make him survive today.
As he walked out the house of Maro, he shifted his head again to his back. A humble bow, a mournful humble bow that he can only afford while he holds this grudge for his dead family members.
