บท 1: Marry Her?!
Nobody in this world could have forced him to get married. He was someone who believed he could never ever let a woman enter his life as his wife. He was fed up of all the pretentious, fake and evil women that were all around. His faith in the institution of marriage had long been destroyed. But when that elderly lady cried and begged to save that orphan girl by marrying her and getting her out of there, he suddenly did not have the heart to refuse her.
"Amah! I do hope you know and realise what you are asking me to do. Take a good look at me once again. Not only that I am a plain looking guy, in fact few would barely say that I am not hideous, I am not educated much. I barely make enough money to feed myself and I work as an electrician in a small company. I hope you know that you are asking me to marry a beautiful girl, who is a doctor and is the only heiress of her company, though she has no control over it for now. Don't complain afterwards! I am telling you once again."
Amah gave him a thorough look and then said: "I know what I am doing. After her mother passed away, I am the one who brought her up. She has lived miserably amongst all these riches in this huge house, alone amongst all these relatives. If I weren't here, she would have died of hunger and heartbreak long ago. I beg you! Please marry her and take her away from this miserable place!"
"I am telling you ! This would be just out of the frying pan, into the fire! She's going to go hungry and remain lonely as far as I can see!"
"It would still be better. At least I would have tried to change her fate. I could easily die and meet her mother and tell her that at least I tried." Amah said.
"Just make sure that it is all done in complete secrecy. It would be a chaos if somebody finds it out before time."
"Don't worry about that but just make sure that you don't regret it afterwards."
"I won't. I am pretty sure" said Amah confidently
"You're sure, I get it. But have you even asked the girl? What if she doesn't agree? I don't want any more trouble in my life!"
"Rest assured. She would agree to whatever I say. After all, she takes me as her mother. I haven't given her birth, but I have raised her and she is one filial child."
"Ok Amah. I have to take care of something. I'll send the marriage certificate this evening. Get that signed by her. I'll register it and come to take her tomorrow night. Keep her ready."
"Tomorrow night? But it's her wedding tomorrow night! I don't want her to get married to that irresponsible, good for nothing, womaniser!"
"Don't worry. She won't get married to him, not at any cost."
"How do you know it?" Amah asked suspiciously
"I know and I will make sure." He smiled mysteriously and left.
