บท 14: The 10 million points suicide mission
Mike and Momo soon arrived in front of a group of people or rather a group of class 1-B students chatting with one another
"Hey, Itsuka!" Arriving in front of the group Mike felt the aura and figured out that this is the right group so he shouted out the name of the person he came for
"Mike?!" Hearing the familiar voice of someone special to her shouting out towards her Itsuka turns around only to see the boy of her dreams standing there slightly smiling at her direction
"The one and only." Hearing Itsukas confused shout Mike can't help but smile at her reaction and if he could see he would probably call her very cute or even hug her from the overdose of cuteness he would get
"Its good to see you again Itsuka, how have you been?" Noticing that Itsuka is basically frozen solid from his sudden appearance Mike decided to try and snap her out of it by speaking to her
"I've been well, congratulations on getting the first spot. So what do you need me for?" Blushing a little while putting her head down Itsuka was brought back from her daze by Mike's charming voice or at least in her ears it's very charming actually Mike is speaking pretty plainly
At the moment she is very glad that Mike can't see her expression as if he did see her she would probably die from shame or find a hole somewhere and bury herself in there
"Well I was thinking about who to pick as my teammates in the cavalry battle and I couldn't help but notice that you passed the preliminaries so that got me thinking and I decided to invite you to be my teammate so would like to be my teammate?" Approaching her with a warm smile in his face Mike stated his reason for being here is none other than her
Itsuka's heart skipped a beat, the boy of her dreams wants her to be in his team, this is like a dream come true for her so she went blank for a moment all thoughts vanishing from her head leaving behind only pure bliss and happiness
"Excuse me but Itsuka has already agreed to be on our team, so don't try to steal her." Suddenly Setsuna appears from behind Itsuka clasping her shoulder reminding her that she is already in a team with her friends besides that her harsh tone of voice she used to shoot down Mike also shot down Itsuka's happiness as well
Now Itsuka is stuck in an awkward position, she could go with Mike her crush and the boy of her dreams but that would mean that she would have to abandon her friends from class 1-B
It's a tough decision, whether she will go with her crush and increase her chances and her familiarity with him while spending some quality time with him or not abandon her friends from class 1-B
Steeling her heart Itsuka came to a decision she is going to stick with her friends as although it pains her not to be able to go with Mike she has known her friends for a long time besides that there are going to be plenty of times she will be able to spend some time with Mike
"Let's go, Mike, it seems she is already on a team, we can find other teammates." But just as Itsuka wanted to reject Mike's proposal she heard a beautiful female voice come from behind Mike
Momo noticed Itsuka's struggle when her friends appeared to shoot Mike down so she decided to decide for Itsuka and go get some other teammates
When Itsuka saw Momo her steeled heart wavered and her emotions turned dark
"Guess you are right, well then hope you do well and see you next time Itsuka." Smiling at Itsuka and then at Momo Mike decided to opt for a tactical retreat for today there's going to be lots of other opportunities to bond with Itsuka anyway so he is not in a hurry
"Wait, Mike, who is she?" While Mikes and Momo's backs are turned towards the class 1-B group Itsuka appeared behind Mike and Momo like a vengeful ghost chasing down her target
Once they turn around they see Itsuka's darkened face and cold eyes well Momo sees them Mike more like feels the omnimous aura currently radiating off her
"Oh, how rude of me, I still haven't introduced her. She is Momo Yaoyorozu, my teammate." Remembering that he has not introduced Momo yet Mike moves out of the way so everyone can get a clear view of Momo who was standing behind him until now
"It's nice to meet you." Momo did a courtesy bow towards Itsuka but Itsuka's face only darkened and she didn't even register anything else after she has confirmed that Momo is Mike's teammate
When Itsuka saw Momo she didn't think much about her only a student from the crowd but once she spoke up and once it was confirmed that she is Mike's teammate Itsuka felt danger radiating off her
It isn't the kind of life-threatening danger no its Itsukas womanly instincts telling her that Momo is dangerous for her relationship with Mike
Itsuka knows that Mike is strong, charismatic and handsome so naturally there is going to be a lot of competition from other girls to get to his heart but still, she doesn't want to give up and she thinks that she has an advantage since she met Mike during the UA entrance exams and she spent the most time with him
But now Itsuka realized how naive she was, Momo is a beautiful, smart and strong girl on top of that she has a powerful family, Momo outmatches her in every regard on top of even that she is in class 1-A she can spend all the time in the world with Mike
'It seems that if I'm going to capture his heart I'm going to have to work harder, sorry friends but you are a necessary sacrifice for my future happiness.' Steeling her heart once again and giving Momo the most hateful glare she can muster Itsuka turns around towards her friends and teammates before deeply bowing towards them
"I'm sorry but I'm going to go with them." This stumped all her friends, they never thought Itsuka would reject them, Itsuka is like a big sister in class and she especially values her friends so this sudden rejection really came unexpectedly
Seeing that they were all in a state of shock Mike, Itsuka and Momo back away before they can regain their wits
"Now let's work on our strategy, Momo you will be behind covering our defense and giving us boosts whenever possible, Itsuka you will be in front and act as our attack, while the both of you are doing that I will be at the top alternating between defense and offense." Huddling up Mike explains the positioning of every one of them while also coming up with various ideas, plans and strategies about what to do in which situation and how to proceed under what circumstance
Momo would sometimes jump in to further better their plain while Itsuka just nodded and glared with eyes full of hostility towards Momo which made Momo very uncomfortable
"Aaaaalright! Have you all formed your teams! Well, you better have because now it's time to start! Let's start the countdown! 3, 2, 1, Start!" After 15 minutes of plotting and planning between the teams, Present Mic announced the start of the cavalry battle
Immediately almost everyone swarmed Mike, I mean who wouldn't his 10 million points worth headband is something anyone would desire
But some smart people knew of Mike's power while and they knew that the 10 million points are more trouble than its worth and the others just thought it would be more worth it if they picked off the other teams and not aim for Mike's headband
"Plan C," Mike whispered towards the girls whose eyes widened before they grasped on to Mike's legs as if their life depended on it while Momo also made earplugs and earmuffs which she put on and gave to Itsuka
"You want the headband, well then come and get it." Turning towards the swarm of students Mike saw them all swarming towards him, it kind of reminds him of the USJ attack which made his lips lift up into a savage grin before he made him move
Lifting his hands up Mike clapped his palms together with all the might he can muster which resulted in an explosion like sound coming from his hands reverberating through the whole arena while the wind pressure of the action sent a couple of physically weak people to the ground
Everybody closed their eyes and protected their ears with their hands, their eyes because of the wind getting into their eyes while they closed the ears because of the explosion like sound coming from Mike's hands
But that still couldn't fully protect them and they were all affected to a certain degree because once they opened their eyes and removing their hands all they heard is a ringing noise while Mike and the girls escaped from their previous position
Everybody looked around for where they could be until one person spotted them and tried to shout while pointing where they're at but since no one noticed him he facepalmed at his stupidity before tugging the shoulder of his teammate and pointing at Mike's direction
Seeing a team run in a certain direction the other teams also turned towards there only to see Mike and the girls
As for Mike and the girls well they went with plan B which is Momo produces a bunch of nonlethal weapons such as mines from the preliminaries or guns that fire rubber bullets
They planted the mines all around them while keeping their backs towards the wall where Momo once again used her power to build a metal fortress
With Mike resting on their shoulder each one having a rifle in hand and grenades round their waists they saw that people noticed them well who wouldn't its kinda hard to miss a giant metal structure such as theirs
Immediately everyone rushed at them full sprint but once they got close enough the mines started to perform their magic
The mines don't have that purple powder as in the preliminaries so the only way to know there is a mine there is by hearing it go boom or looking at a person be flung back once they stepped on a mine
But since everyone is focused at Mike's 10 million points and their hearing is temporarily disabled they just charged straight in not knowing about the mines which are their doom
'Mines huh, as expected of Mike but don't think I'll give up that easily.' Izuku thought as he looked on the other participants who just charged in
Izuku knows Mike to a certain extent so once he saw Mike relaxing on top of the fortress he knew something was wrong and seeing the mines his suspicion was proven right
There are other examples such as Todoroki who was also suspicious of Mike and Bakugan who while shouting at his horse to move didn't get the message across since he was shouting
Some students hunted the others while not minding Mike while others observed the suicidal attempts at Mike's 10 million points
Some people tried to use long-range attacks, thinking that they are smart for picking a long-range attacker but they were met by failure as Mike would grab a rock Momo created and counteract their attack
At one point a cavalry managed to get into the middle of the minefield but that's as they got because st that points bullets started raining down on them
Mike, Momo and Itsuka are not sharpshooters, don't have gun related quirks nor have they practiced shooting so their effective range as well as their aim I quite limited so they can only shoot someone who has stepped into the middle of the minefield
As the battle progressed more and more people started getting closer and closer to the fort but Mike and his team surprised them yet again by not only using bullets but flashbangs as well disorienting them making them step into a mine
In the last 6 minutes of the cavalry battle, the big players started moving: Bakugo, Todoroki, and Izuku all came running towards Mike like they agreed to start running at the same time
Todoroki used his ice to stay above the mines and thanks to Iida they were too fast for the bullets to hit them while Izuku used Hatsume's babies to fly into the air and Dark shadow would block the bullets and Bakugo used his explosions and Sero's tape to maneuver around and Ejirou was used to tank the bullets or Ashido would melt them
'I knew it wouldn't be that easy.' Thought Mike as he looked at the teams who are getting closer and closer but thankfully he already planned for situations like this since he knows what kind of monsters Todoroki, Bakugo, and Izuku are
Mike put his rifle down and took 3 javelins in his hand, he then threw each javelin at one of the teams
To the teams, this was just another move of Mike's that he just didn't show in the previous battles since no one was strong enough to take one such move or rather didn't threaten Mike to the degree where he has to use them move
The javelins flew at breathtaking speed with enough force to go thru concrete but to the students isn't much of a hassle
Todoroki redirected the javelin with his ice and Jirou blasted the javelin with her sonic attack, Dark shadow redirected the javelin with the help of Izuku who didn't use 100% and Hatsume who used one of her babies to help, Bakugo just blew the javelin to hell while Ashido melted it and Ejirou deflecting the shrapnel if there even is any left

But that was all just a distraction, behind the javelin there is a bomb but they are the to students in UA, of course, they would notice such a thing, Todoroki and Bakugo merely scoffed at such an attempt while Izuku remained expressionless
Todoroki and Jirou deflected the bomb and put it into an ice dome, Dark shadow threw the bomb to the side where Uraraka made it weigh nothing before also throwing it away, Bakugo like Bakugo blew the bomb to bits and pieces
But that's where they went wrong, Mike threw only flashbangs during this battle so they assumed it is a flashbang but no its actually a time bomb hidden as a flashbang
Bakugo's move immediately backfired causing the bomb to go off into their faces, Todoroki's bomb blasted thru the ice destroying the ice path he built making his team plummet down like a meteorite and Izuku's team luckily threw the bomb away but it still affected them and destroyed Hatsume's babies

Immediately the teams all fell down and they tried to regroup themselves but Mike didn't let them as he clapped his hands together bringing forth the move he used at the beginning of the cavalry battle but the move is really just a very powerful clap making their ears ring once again but not as powerfully as before since Mike is quite a far away from them
But the winds caused by the clap made some of the mines go off which didn't do much besides impacting their hearing a little bit and they closed their eyes once again but the kicker followed afterward as what they saw in front of them are flashbangs which went off into their eyes effectively rendering them deaf and blind
After this everything was easy going for Mike, whenever someone tried to regroup or do anything he would either clap, throw a grenade, throw a flashbang, shoot them down or throw a javelin
The only one who stood a chance was Todoroki who tried to use both his fire and ice but they were either destroyed by a javelin or blown away by a clap
Bakugo is the most unruly constantly trying to get ahead only to step into a mine while Izuku is the best out of them all he doesn't move, it seems he has accepted his fate
Mike could have dominated them all with just his physical abilities but sometimes it's just nice to roleplay as a person who uses his smarts to win fights
It's like when you play Skyrim, most of the time you pick to be the sneaky assassin or archer but sometimes you just want to be a brute and smash everything so you start a new game
Soon the 6 minutes were over and the cavalry battle ended

Electez I'm in a bad mode, why? Well because I have a bad haircut. Like I said to the woman shorten my hair for a little bit, what did I end up with? An almost buzz haircut, you know I have confidence that whoever is styling my hair won't be disregarding what I say so I was like "Well let's see what she will do." by the end of the haircut I was half asleep so yeah I really regret my decision. That's what made me vent out my frustrations on a chapter so well thank her I guess
