"Yes." Xueyan reply only made the woman's eyes tear up, and her shaky hand try to reach for her mouth to stop herself from screaming.

"No..." She trailed off. "No way... Please Xue, say it's a lie... Say it's..." She abruptly stopped as Yuxi's back slammed into the door unexpectedly.

Mrs Bai gave the girl a sharp and judging gaze. "Don't tell me you knew too..."

"No!" Yuxi yelled out. "I only found out too." She tried holding her mother's gaze, but seeing tears fill up her eyes, and how they cascaded down, Yuxi bit on her lower lip to keep calm.

Having their mother's emotion messed up, was enough for the night.

Xueyan held onto the woman, hugging her close. "Mom, you've to believe me when I say it's okay."
