Before the day broke, Xueyan was done preparing breakfast.

She ended up falling asleep on the couch.

"Mom?" Qingran rubbed her gently on her arm.

"Hmm?" Xueyan stretched and yawned tiredly.

"Why are you here on the couch?" Zhihao frowned when she opened her eyes.

She was blessed with their little adorable faces, while Qingran was pouting, Zhihao was frowning.

Xueyan pinched their cheeks and a smile lit up her face.

"Have you two brushed? Hmm?"

"Yes," the two chorused. "Don't try to avoid my question," Zhihao still wanted to know why she was on the couch.

"I fell asleep by mistake..." Xueyan lied.

"Where's Daddy?" Qingran stretched her head around in search of Zhaolin.

Xueyan's eyes also wandered around in search of him but he was not anywhere in sight.

"Perhaps he went out." Zhihao was used to Zhaolin leaving early in the morning to work, so he felt it was just the same.
