Meilin spoke in a cold voice,
"But.... this would be the only time. I don't cope well with threatens, you see", she had a bitingly cold look in her eyes.
"Y-Yes, yes .. of course", the king was really a bit scared, well, no matter how they flaunted their wealth, in the last few years, it seems, more and more of the citizens were going outside to have a better life, he couldn't let any mishaps to happen even in his own business. He glared at the queen, as if, telling her to handle the situation and then directly excused himself.
Luca was struck dumb since she directly put her name out, it wasn't her style... but she did it probably because of him... a warm feeling spread throughout his heart, but he never expected such reaction from the king... he didn't know why he acted the way he did, but he had time... he could ask her about it, later.
Felt anti-climatic, right?

A few more chapters left and we can go back~
