Words
Words can be beautiful
Inspirational
Make you feel more than ideal
Words make others gravitate
Make you feel great, that nobody would ever hate to wait for you
And make you see all the traits that make you
Sensational.
Make you feel tall, and bulletproof
And radiate
Just from a few words.
They tell us, words can never hurt, but can't they convert, if you exert?
From words of grandeur and flirt, to words that harm, and disarm all charm
Starting with the illusion, drawing to the conclusion,
That we are of no use.
Words can Abuse
Make you confused
Stumbling around
Because you used those words you found
To tear and rip them to the ground
You hound, you drown them in truth or lies that ties and expounds in their very soul.
And make the image they see of themselves a little less whole.
You dull their senses till all they hear is how you chastise and criticize, and from your words that implies that they are unwise,
Hearing the hiss that nobody would miss you if you were gone,
Receiving letter after letter that the world would be better if you did not exist…
Making them a digger digging deeper in the abyss-
Till they pull the trigger.
Consider the words you deliver.
Do they disfigure?
If so, I implore you to please reconsider,
And transfigure your words
Into something beautiful
