บท 64: PR department
Wan Lin walked into the PR department and saw various workers dashing around into different directions. It was such a chaotic scene that Wan Lin just stood still for a while.
"No Mr.Howard, the news you heard...." Someone said.
"Yes indeed, our CEO did...." Another said.
"Absolute rubbish! Our CEO would never...." One more yelled.
Almost all of them were on their phones answering calls and rushing about to get some documents.
Wan Lin looked around and finally saw someone without a phone attached to her.
She walked over to the girl sitting in the corner of this busy office.
"Excuse me." Wan Lin said with a neutral expression on her face.
The girl sitting at the corner immediately raised her head up and jumped a little. She was startled that someone would talk to her.
"Y...yes?" She stuttered a bit before answering nervously.
"I want the statement for Atta company's done. We need to send it to them in regards to the partnership for the new hotel in Mexicona."
"Y...yes?!!" The girl opened her eyes wide,shocked at the sudden request.
Wan Lin immediately crinkled her brows at the girl's attitude. Her words weren't that hard to understand!
"Atta company! Do you not know that we have a plan to open a hotel with them? So we need to issue the statement to persuade them of what we could offer in this partnership with us?"
The girl trembled visibly. She didn't know whom this woman was to suddenly tell her to write about Atta.
The girl knew of the project of course. It was the current biggest partnership of the company and everyone in the department desperately wanted to make a proposal for it.
For her whom had been working in the department for 2 years with no notable work was too much of a shock!
"Are you going to do it or what?" Wan Lin narrowed her eyes at the thin girl with pale skin in front of her. She had black eyes and black hair and her features were nothing special.
"Y...Yes!" That girl immediately replied. It was an opportunity that she had been waiting for!
"Good." Wan Lin nodded her head before saying,"I'll be back in 40 minutes for it. The CEO is waiting."
Then Wan Lin walked away to complete her other work, leaving the girl shocked in place.
'CEO is waiting?! The CEO is waiting?!!!!' The girl couldn't do her work for a moment as the words the woman said just now were still echoing in her head.
Meanwhile, Wan Lin walked out of the department and let out a sigh.
She saw how distressed and surprised that girl was. It broke her heart not to be able to say comforting words to that girl just now.
Queen was a supporter of women through and through. She mostly hung out with girls and had a weak spot for them. For her, girls were something she had to protect.
Queen immediately resolved herself and reverted back to Wan Lin's personality. The cold, aloof and mighty secretary with flawless ability when it comes to work.
Wan Lin walked to the next department, ready to set that department on fire.

บท 65: Contracting department
Wan Lin walked over to the contracting department to ask for the ATMOS project that Quince demanded.
There was a stark contrast between contracting and PR department. The PR department was extremely rowdy whereas the contracting department was not.
It was quiet and peaceful and everyone was sitting on their desks doing their jobs diligently. That was until they noticed the newcomer.
The lady standing in front of them looked old fashioned with the bun on her head and long pencil skirt. She barely had any makeup on and her big glasses made her look boring. Only 'plain and ordinary' could be used to describe her.
She wasn't smiling but had a cold aloof expression on her face and the air released from her was very similar to their CEO.
This made some of the women angry as they were 'crazy fans' of their CEO's cold personality.
'Is this woman trying to imitate him?!' They thought angrily. They won't let an unknown woman imitate their idol! Especially not when she could do it so well!
"Who are you?" Nancy, who was the leader of the CEO's fan club in contracting department asked with a sickly sweet smile on her face.
Wan Lin narrowed her eyes at the sweet smile she got from this person in front of her before answering coldly.
She didn't introduce herself and simply demanded for her identity. Clearly her manners were lacking.
"I am Wan Lin. The CEO's new secretary." She replied.
Her sentence caused the women and men in the contracting department to gasp. 'Secretary?! Her?!!'
They all observed her outfit from head to toe, and couldn't believe it.
That was because she looked extremely plain! The previous secretaries were all dressed in brand names and looked really glamorous.
A secretary must accompany her boss so what she wears directly represent the boss. The CEO's fans couldn't accept her even more!
"Secretary?!" Nancy said the word with disgust.
"Yes." Wan Lin said and adjusted her glasses carefully. She had a neutral 'so what' expression on her face.
"Well, what do you want miss Secretary?" Nancy asked with a fake sweet smile on her face.
"The contract for ATMOS. Master Quince would like to know how far along you are in the project and who is the contact person on that side." Wan Lin said in her usual neutral tone.
Hearing her words the women were even angrier. 'Master Quince?!' How dare she utter his name so casually?
The employees usually called him boss or President. Only a selected few dare utter his name and hearing this plain secretary say his name casually was simply unacceptable.
"Certainly Miss Wan Lin. I will go check it for you." Nancy answered with her fake smile before walking to search for the 'contract.'
There was no way that Nancy would give the contract over to this plain looking woman that dared utter the CEO's name.
Wan Lin narrowed her eyes outwardly but she was laughing internally.
'My, my, the cat is apparently really popular huh, to be able to 'inspire' this sort of stupid jealousy. Makes me want to taunt her even more.' Wan Lin's eyes flashed mischievously before disappearing quickly.
Nancy walked over to her desk and started going through her mails. She saw the contract with ATMOS which had already been cancelled and printed it out for Wan Lin.
"Here is the contract." She handed the contract over with a fake smile plastered on her face.
Wan Lin took the paper from her hand and quickly went through the details. She knew there was something wrong with it from first glance.
