"Your highness! Your highness!" Lancelot, a 10 year old boy, yelled as he ran around looking for the Rhitol's kingdom princess.
Her personal knights and him had been running around looking for her the whole day. It was already evening and yet no one could find her.
"Your highness!" Lancelot continued yelling as he ran to the palace's garden.
"Lance! Lance!" He suddenly heard a soft voice calling his name. He looked around and saw no one.
The voice giggled lightly before saying, "Look up!"
Lance glanced up and saw that there was a girl sitting on top of the tree branch.
"Your highness!" He yelled as he ran to the big tree in the garden.
"It's Luna!" The little girl immediately corrected him.
"Your highness! Where have you been?!" Lancelot ignored her before yelling his question out. At this moment, he was feeling relieved and angry at the same time.
"Here! And it's Luna!" The girl answered and emphasized her words. She attempted to climb down from the tree but Lance hurriedly told her to stop.
"Please wait there your highness! Don't climb down! Wait for me to go assist you." He said and immediately climbed up the big tree.
He reached out his hand to Luna and said,"Here! Give me your hand princess, I'll escort you down."
"No! And call me Luna!" The little girl yelled before refusing him. Her green eyes aglow with anger.
"Alright. Luna." Lancelot sighed before yielding to her request. "Won't you give me your hand so we could climb down?"
"It's almost evening. The stars would be out soon. Won't you sit here with me for a while?" Luna asked as she looked over at Lancelot.
"No! Do you have any idea how worried everyone is right now?! Your father and brother are frantically looking all over for you!" Lance shook his head in refusal before answering Luna.
"What about you? Were you worried about me?" Luna asked with an expectant look in her eyes as she tilted her head towards Lancelot.
"of course I was. I am the selected childhood friend your father assigned. When you disappeared I was really scared and worried!" Lancelot exclaimed.
"So you are worried about me because you are ordered to take care of me?" Luna asked her eyes dimming.
Lancelot climbed up the tree further and sat on the branch beside her. "No you dummy! I'm worried because I'm your friend."
"Friend? What kind of friends?" Luna asked innocently. The glow was back in her eyes.
"We are best friends! I will be the person that knows you best and you will be the person that knows me best." The equally innocent 10 year old boy said to the little 8 year old girl.
The 8 year girl was fascinated by the sparkle she saw in the boy's blue eyes before nodding frantically,"Yes! Best friends forever!" She said.
"Yes!" Lance smiled widely at her. "Let's go down to meet your father and brother now. They are waiting for you."
"Father...brother...." Luna said in a daze. Her tone immediately became sad and her eyes lost their bright glow.
"What happened?!" Seeing that Lance was quite worried about her.
Luna shook her head before saying,"It's nothing! But before we go can we please stay here a bit more?"
"But why?" Lance asked feeling confused. Usually Luna would run right away at the mention of her father or brother.
"Because....because the stars are out! They look so beautiful! Let's admire them for a bit please?" Luna pleaded with Lance.
Even though Lance was a child, he could feel that something was different about her. He didn't know what but he wanted to help her anyway he could.
"Alright." He nodded and Luna gave him a bright smile, warming his heart up.
They sat and admired the stars together. It was one of the most peaceful memories in their life.
*Chirp chirpp*
The birds cried and Queen suddenly opened her eyes. She glanced at the clock and saw that it was only 6 am in the morning.
"It was only a dream huh..." She murmured as she laid on the bed and stared up at the ceiling.
She was lost in thoughts as she thought about the events that happened in the previous life.
It's been 2 days since she last got down from the cruise. After saying goodbye to Quince, she didn't go meet him again.
She was honestly confused at first but as she thought back to the events, she remembered him saying it to be a kiss of acknowledgment.
She calmed down then and shoved the kiss to the back of her mind. Luckily, her mother did not know about the problems she caused on his cruise yet.
Queen shudder to think of what her mother would do if she found out. 'That woman is truly scary.'
Queen went back to thinking about her dream and let out a long sad sigh.
'Did you know then Luna? Did you already know?' Queen wondered but there was no way she would ever know.
Queen wanted to change her gloomy mood so she got up from bed and went to take a shower.
She hummed a tune as she came out of the bathroom and swayed along to the music.
She dressed up neatly before deciding to head out. It was 7.30 am. The perfect time to go do what she plans to.
She recently heard some interesting news from Polo and she planned to go confirm the situation herself.
Queen told the driver the location before leaning back on the comfortable leather seat.
'Wait for me~~~' She whistled happily as she closed her eyes.
A little bit into their previous lives. Anyone missing Quince? By the way this week’s chapters may be a bit shorter than usual as I have an exam on Saturday (so nervoussss)!
