บท 20: Rejected Love
"What do you mean retreat??? Have you lost your mind Gēti???!!" Ishi yelled.
"Fine then fight... If you want to fight the "Sky Musketeer"." Gēti replied in with an annoyed tone causing Ishi to be shock.
"You mean that girl is..." Ishi asked as he was speechless.
"Yup, She's the "Sky Musketeer"." Gēti replied.
"Lightning Dragon Thunderstorm Strike" Sandā casted a spell and lightning then strikes from the sky and was about to hit Sora but the lightning didn't even touch her.
"I see, So this is why they call you the "Sky Musketeer"." Sandā stated with a smirked face.
"A female Elementalist who has a powerful barrier blessed by the Sky Dragon itself" Sandā added.
"Sora, The Sky Musketeer." Melody replied.
"The person who inherited the "Sky Dragon Blessing"." Melody added.
"Well even if she is the "Sky Musketeer" I'm still gonna fight" Ishi replied.
"Same goes for me, I don't even care if she's the "Sky Musketeer"." Sandā replied.
"Lightning Dragon Thunder Blade" Sandā casted a spell and a sword made of Lightning Dragon energy appeared in his hand.
"Lightning Dragon Thunderstorm Stream" Sandā then casted a spell and Lightning Dragon energy started to gather around his sword
He then releases energy creating a gigantic lightning blast but the lightning blast couldn't touch Sora due to the Sky Dragon Blessing protecting her.
"Earth Dragon Imperial Sledgehammer" Ishi casted a spell and a sledgehammer made of Earth Dragon energy appeared in his hand.
"Fire Dragon Inferno Blade!!!!" Kasai casted a spell and a sword made of Fire Dragon energy appeared in his hand.
Kasai and Ishi then began to launch an assault on each other and Ishi slammed his sledgehammer above Kasai but luckily he manages to block it using his sword.
But the tremendous force of the attack that Kasai just blocked using his sword made a giant crater beneath the both of them.
"Earth Dragon Imperial-" Ishi was then about to cast a spell.
"Fire Dragon Hellfire Catastrophy" Kasai immiedietly casted a spell releasing a large amount of Fire Dragon energy around him causing an outburst of fire around him.
"Earth Dragon Imperial Defender!!!" Ishi casted a spell and the ground beneath began to shake causing stone warriors to appear from the ground.
The stone warriors immiedietly gathered around Ishi protecting him from the fire that Kasai created.
"Lightning Dragon Thunder Blade"
Sandā then immiedietly casted and a sword appeared from his left hand and he I'm I started to dash towards Kasai from behind.
"Sky Dragon Skyblitz Hurricane" Sora casted a spell and a large gust of wind then blew around them knocking everyone to the ground.
"Sora!!!!!" Sandā pissedly yelled as he then glares at Sora.
"I'm sorry, But I can't let you hurt my partner" Sora replied.
"Thanks babe!!!" Kasai happily teased causing Sora to blush.
"B-B-Babe?! S-S-S-Since when did w-w-w-we started d-d-dating....." Sora embarrassedly asked.
"Since the day we became a Chīma, So Sora... Will you go out with me" Kasai replied.
"Well I... s-still need some time to think about it....Kasai..." Sora embarrassedly replied.
"Me.... Calling you my boyfriend... I'll still need some time to think about it..." She added causing Kasai to be speechless.
"Oh... What do we have here... Rejected on public how pitiful" Ishi teased
"It must've hurt-" Ishi added but he was then suddenly shot in the legs, shoulders and elbow causing him to fall to the ground.
"What the..... what was that?!..." Ishi pissedly yelled as he struggles to get up.
"I only said I needed some time to think, I never said no or even rejected him" Sora yelled as she slowly walks to Ishi holding her gun.
"Those injuries you just received are my warning shots, I'm warning you if you ever hurt Kasai or in the slightest way..." She added as she slowly approaches Ishi.
"I promise I'll aim for the head this time" She added pointing her gun at Ishi's head.
"Can we get back to the whole fighting, I'm getting bored here" Sandā yelled.
"If you want to flirt some more do it in a motel" He added.
"I came here to fight not become a third wheel who has to watch you and your disgusting flirting" He added.
"Fire Dragon Inferno Knuckle!!!" Kasai then casted a spell and flames started to appear in his hand surrounding his fist.
"Lightning Dragon Thunderstorm Fist" Sandā then casted a spell and lightning bolts started to appear in his hand surrounding his fist.
Sandā and Kasai then launches an assault on each other. The two attacks collided and tremendous amount of flames and lightning was released from the collision.
Both Kasai and Sandā were knock back by the collision of the attacks and fell to the ground.
"Fire Dragon Hellfire Breath" Kasai casted a spell and a tremendous fire blast came out of his mouth and is heading straight for Sandā.
"Lightning Dragon Thunderstorm Blast" Sandā casted a spell and a tremendous blast made of Lightning Dragon energy is heading straight for Kasai.
The two spells collide and created a tremendous shockwave from the collision of two spells.
"Looks like the fight is evenly matched" Kasai said as he glares at Sandā.
"For once I agree with you" Sandā replied.
Suddenly a mysterious shockwave was released from the ground releasing a tremendous earthquake underneath Kasai destroying the ground beneath him creating a giant crater.
"Kasai!!!!!" Sora yelled.
"Are you alright??!!!!" Kayosha yelled before she was interrupted by Melody.
"Stop worrying about others and worry about yourself for once!!!!" Melody yelled as she was about to cast a spell.
"Melody Dragon Harmonic Blast" Melody casted a spell and a blast made of Melody Dragon energy is heading straight for Kayosha.
"Water Dragon Tidal Sphere" Kayosha then casted a spell and water then surrounded her creating a sphere like figure.
The blast made of Melody Dragon energy hits the water sphere but luckily the water sphere protected Kayosha.
"What was..... that???..... I.... didn't even....see that....attack.... coming..." Kasai muttered as he slowly stood up.
"Seems you had some trouble, Sandā" A person with grey hair slowly walk towards Sandā.
"Do we have to really fight???" A person with purple hair asked.
"It's just a waste having to deal with these weaklings" He added as he slowly approaches Sandā.
The guy with the grey hair is Shōgeki Shindō, he's a Dragon Sage like us and He's a C-Rank Elementalist.
The other guy with the purple hair is Venom Shiori, he's a Dragon Sage like us and he's also a C-Rank Elementalist.
"That explains why I didn't see the attack coming" Kassi muttered as he slowly stands up.
"I'd never thought I'd fight both of them this early in the Grand Shōtotsu" He added.
"Shōgeki..." "Venom..." Sora muttered seeing the both of them.
"If it isn't the "Sky Musketeer" Sora Kūki or should I say, The future Mrs. Hoño." Venom said as he glares at him.
"Now now Venom, My cousin Sora would never date someone like him" Shōgeki replied as he glares at Kasai.
"What's your problem?!!" Kasai pissedly yelled.
"She has a right to pick the person she-" Kasai added before he was interrupted by someone.
"That may be true for normal female Elementalist....." Shōgeki replied.
"But Sora isn't a normal I'm sure as her Chīma you know her ability just as well" Shōgeki added.
"Yeah, What about it??!!" Kasai asked.
"I'm sure Sora here hasn't told you the true reason she's rejecting you" Shōgeki replied.
"It's totally obvious that she wants to be with you.... But there is something stopping her" He added.
"Shōgeki please...." Sora muttered causing Kasai to look at him.
"Sora... Please tell me... Please tell me what's going on..?" Kasai begged but Sora remained silent with a few tears running down from her eyes.
"For long the heirs of the entire Kūki clan has always wielded the ability known as "Sky Dragon Blessing"." Shōgeki added.
"Sora here will be the next heir of the Kūki clan once her mother drops down from her position....." Shōgeki added.
"Many of the Elementalist wanted that power and countless Elementalist have already tried to steal the very power of the Kūki clan." He added.
"That's why a branch from the Kūki clan was created, They're known to work in the shadows and do what's necessary to protect the power." He added.
"I'm warning you now Kasai.... If you keep on continuing like this.... You might get killed by the branch of the Kūki clan" Shōgeki added causing Kasai to be shocked.
"Sora... is this true?" Kasai asked.
"It is true Kasai...." Sora replied with a few tears pouring from her eyes.
"I really like you Kasai.... But we can't be together" She added.
"I really want you more than anything else but if being with you puts your life at risk....." Sora then begins to tear up hugging Kasai tightly.
"I rather stay away and keep my feelings within than loosing the person I love the most" She added as she cries while Kasai hugs her.
"Pitiful really, I can't believe my cousin would pick someone like you" Shōgeki stated.
"W-W-What did you say!!!!" Kasai yelled.
"You didn't hear me?" Shōgeki said in a sarcastic tone.
"I said I find it pitiful that my cousin fell in love with you" Shōgeki added.
"Your a worthless Elementalist who just got lucky in the Chīma selections" Shōgeki stated.
The cameras around the arena then began to look at Shōgeki as there entire conversation was being broadcast around the stadium.
"The Kingdom Chīma selections were nothing but a waste, worthless Elementalist like you being paired up with someone who has potential" Shōgeki stated.
"You're nothing but a disgrace like the F-Rank loser you call a friend-" Shōgeki added but he was then interrupted by Kasai.
"Shut up!" Kasai yelled with fire coming out of his mouth.
"I had enough of blabbing!!" Kasai yelled.
"You can insult me all you want but keep my friends out of this" Kasai yelled once again as he charges to Shōgeki.
"Fire Dragon Inferno Knuckle" Kasai casted a spell and Fire Dragon energy began to gather in his fist releasing a flame surrounding his fist.
Kasai immiedietly punches Shōgeki in the face and a tremendous amount of flame was released from the collision of his punches.
"Is that the best you can do?" Shōgeki asked as he taunted Kasai.
"Fire Dragon Hellfire Breath!!" Kasai then casted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of fire from his mouth.
The flames manage to hit Shōgeki knocking him back burning the ground beneath him.
"You call yourself a "Fire Dragon Sage"." Shōgeki suddenly stated as he quickly grabs Kasai's head while he's still casting the spell.
"Your flames are not even hot at all" Shōgeki added as he slammed Kasai's head to the ground.
"Fire Dragon Hellfire Catastrophy" Kasai then casted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of flame around him burning everything around him.
The flames hits Shōgeki once again but he immediately slammed Kasai's head again withstanding the flames around him.
"You're truly pitiful, Someone who's rank rivals Sora would be this weak" Shōgeki stated.
"You're a disgrace to us Dragon Sages, your flames are just as hot as those worthless Fire Elementalist" He added.
Shōgeki then slowly leans to Kasai s his mouth slowly approaches his left ear.
"You should also know this, Enjoy it while you still can.... You'll loose Sora soon enough" Shōgeki whispered to Kasai.
"Fire Dragon Inferno Knuckle" Kasia then casted a spell and he then punches Shōgeki from his jawline knocking Shōgeki back causing him to loose his gripping.
"That won't ever happen!! As long as I'm here!!!!" Kasai yelled.
"Dragon Sage Secret Art: Hellfire Flare Zone" Kasai then casted a spell releasing a tremendous amount of fire from all directions as even the ground beneath them began erupting fire.
The fire then causes a massive explosion hitting everyone in the battlefield burning some parts of there clothes.
"W-W-What was that..." Melody muttered as she sees the entire battle field around them completely burned.
Kasai the slowly fells down due to exhaustion from casting the spell but luckily Sora manages to catch him.
"Dummy..... You pushed yourself once again" Sora muttered as she smiles hugging Kasai.
"But that's what I like about you Kasai... You're never afraid to step up to someone no matter who is up against" Sora added.
Shōgeki then slowly approaches the two of them with a pissed look on his face.
"Get away from him Sora, I still have some unfinished business with him" Shōgeki stated with a pissed tone.
"Now it's my turn to stand up" Sora muttered as she whispers it to Kasai.
"Shōgeki stop already!!" Sora yelled shocking Shōgeki.
"I'm tired of all this heir thing to begin with, if being the heir of the Kūki clan means I can't be with Kasai..." She muttered.
"I-I-I'll quit being the heir and I'll leave the Kūki clan" She added.
"What are you saying?!" Shōgeki asked in a confused tone.
"Are you saying you'll abandon everything for this worthless Elementalist" Shōgeki added.
"He can't even protect you!!" Shōgeki yelled.
"That's not true!!" Sora yelled back shocking Shōgeki.
"Don't put up with his lies!!" Shōgeki yelled once again.
"How is this idiot supposed to protect you when he couldn't even protect himself" Shōgeki added.
Sora was about to yell back once again but Kasai then grabbed her hand shocking Sora.
"Sora..... It's okay he's right.... I can't protect you-" Kasai muttered pissing Sora a little bit.
"I don't wanna hear it Kasai!!" Sora yelled.
"You've actually protected me several of times already!!!" Sora added as she then looks at Kasai.
"Don't listen to him Kasai... He wasn't there when we spent our lives together" Sora added.
"He wasn't there when we risk our lives together whenever we go on a quest" Sora added.
"He also wasn't there when we made the happy memories of our adventures...." Sora added.
"He wasn't there Kasai... He wasn't there when we protected each other from harm" Sora added as tears flow from her eyes.
"Protect each other??? He can't even protect you-" Shōgeki stated but he was then interrupted by Sora.
"When we were on a quest to take down a terrorist base, I got reckless and let my guard down..." Sora yelled.
"I was about to get shot but Kasai pushed me out of harm and he was the one who got shot instead of me...." Sora added.
She then pointed her blaster at Shōgeki with her glaring at him.
"If you hurt Kasai any longer... Even if you're a family member or not.... I'll treat you as an enemy" Sora stated shocking Shōgeki.
"Sora's changed alright..." Shōgeki muttered in thought.
"The Sora I know would never talk back or would act like this normally she'd just follow orders instantly" He added as he muttered in thought.
"You win for now, but that doesn't mean I'll give you my blessing" Shōgeki stated as he then slowly walk away from them.
"Where are you going?" Venom asked.
"I'm not interested in fighting any of them anymore, My intentions were only the Sky Musketeer" Shōgeki replied as he slowly walks away.
"If you want to fight more be my guess, but I'm heading out to get some points" Shōgeki added as he then leaves the battlefield.
"Thank god it's over..." Sora slowly said as both of them sat down to the ground.
"Yeah-" Kasai replied but he was then interrupted by Sora.
"What the hell were you thinking?!!" Sora yelled as she pinches Kasai cheeks with her face being all red.
"That stupid family rule of yours, It pisses me off!!" Kasai replied.
"It pisses me of too" Sora pouted as she glares at Kasai.
"Do you have any idea how much I've been through?" She added as she leans her head at Kasai.
"I'm sorry....." Kasai replied.
"Don't be... right now this is all I want..." Sora happily replied.
"I love you.... Kasai" She whispered to Kasai's ear.
