บท 4: JOURNEY
On Ade's return to the tribe, a group of people led by the elder gathered at the center of settlement. The elder still wore clothes made of sackcloth and hair decorated with bones. He was in a good mood as he looked at Chuck, Soya and Ade. There were two people standing beside the elder. One of them was Head of Security. His strong body made him look like a tower and his gaze was freezing. The other person was rigid and cold Head of Hunters, Shek Wes.
He looked monstrous while wearing beast skin. His status were incredibly high within the tribe.
"Our tribe is small and we cannot compare with the sunflower sect, or offend them. That's why we have to pay tributes to them every year as acknowledgement. Besides us other tribes will be there". And as such, this trip will also be a test. Its your task to stand out among your peers. Its all up to you to be the prey or the predator.
"Among all of you, Chuck has been to sunflower sect twice but unfortunately he wasn't chosen to become an outer disciple ", he spoke slowly and clearly. Chuck nodded his head in response to the elder. His gaze fell upon every one and finally on Ade. He frowned. He believed there wasn't any use in Ade following them because he felt Ade had no martial path.
"Alright we don't have much time. Let's go. " The elder raised and motioned his hands to the sky. The white clouds in the sky turned dark.
At the same time, a lot of ancient marks appeared on the elders face. The dark clouds began to gather and in the blink of an eye it turned into a monstrous and ferocious griffin that was as big as half the tribe.
The griffin's speed was on a completely different level of its own. In a minute the tribe had disappeared from view.
Ade stopped thinking and looked at the scenery hurling past him. Feeling the wind was a good vibe to him, he could not help to say, "vast wilderness here I come! "
The griffin was fast which made the wind very violent without the elder and the chief of hunters acting as a wind breaker the young lasses would have fallen of since. Even Chuck the tribes genius was finding it hard to endure.
The mountain peaks, protruded isolated peaks or the mountain ranges that were thousands of meters high, were considered short. In between the mountain peaks, it was full of loffy cliffs and bottomless canyons....
This was the vast wilderness which hid fearsome beasts that could destroy tribes. Even without fierce beasts, any typical warrior would not be able to cross the vast wilderness because the path was to difficult to take.
Climbing cliffs, leaping across chasms and facing the blizzards, avalanche and the invisible ice caverns on the tall mountains....
Even a pure blood martial warrior would find it difficult to get past these lands.
The griffin passed two large mountains and Ade finally saw the sunflower sect he had heard so much about.
The buildings were tall and lined up like fish scales. The streets were filled with people bustling with activities going from one store to another, precious stones which were considered as precious items in Ade's tribe were used to design the streets and also used as a light soukk
In the middle of the sect, there stood an imposing tall building and a tower. In the sunflower sect, those who could stay in the tower were all important officials or from big wealthy families.
"This is the sunflower sect! "The elders voice echoed from above the griffin.
"Elder, was the Oyo tribe as powerful as the sunflower sect in the past? " Soya asked.
The elder did not speak but there was a dim look in his eyes.
At that moment, a gentle laughter traveled from the sunflower sect.
"Lore, thank you for coming to sunflower sect you still look the same! "
