บท 6: A Fallout Between Friends
In a dark cold storeroom,
"Did you finish the task I ordered you to?" a lean guy with eyes covered with a mask spoke up in a monotonus, authorative tone. His long white beard was the only thing that gave proof of his age.
Silence rang through the hall as the group kowtowed infront the man, was too afraid to utter about their failure.
"Well, well, well I guess you aren't going to open your mouth this easily right, should I bring my new machine, huh?" his voice now completely different from the cold one, sounded like a lunatic sadistic itching to torture people.
It made them completely go week on knees, in a trembling voice Rena the first in commander said, " Sir, Wang wouldn't even look at me, what can I do, he says it is better to die than betraying her."
The man from earlier let out a chuckle as his eyes fell on her balled up fist, as if an interesting show was going on.
"So, all this years of training and you can't even seduce a guy? Heh, what's the use of you anymore then." He spoke in a cold voice with a disgusting smirk on his face as he squeezed her chin hard while looking down at her as if she was nothing but an insect that could be easily removed.
(A/N:- His mood swings are worse than that of any girl's on her menstruation.. Ahem Ahem)
Rena bit her lips harder in an attempt to not snap out, from the very start of her joining him was the start of this vicious unpredictable game like snake ludo. At the end only one of them could survive.
Their goals were different, but so what?, Rena felt a deep sense of humiliation thinking back to those days when she also was as pure as her when she could atleast claim she loved him and she was in no way less than her.
But it was a path of no return, since she chose it she has to just go on and on, no matter how much her subconsciousness pricked.
"I want her to completely loose faith in him and I don't care how you do it, but you just have to complete it within the next assembly. I need to let her know, no one other than me is worthy of her trust." The man spoke with a tone of envie this time.
"Yes Sir." Rena replied with due determination.

Meanwhile,
"Sanaya, don't you miss Elsa?" Helen whispered in a low voice.
"What's the use of missing her, it's not like she will come running to us and say, 'See I am alive and well, don't you guys even dare to think of snatching my inventions, humph'." Sanaya said reminisising their golden days of past when she was still a part of their life both physically and mentally.
Both of them laughed out loud despite the sad atmosphere as her cutesy mimick of a bunny and funny dialogue floated in their mind.
True friendship consists of so many dramas that it can very easily defeat top class K-dramas or C-dramas in comparision.
And yes their friendship was one of a kind, rare and unique, they had so many memories that written altogether will be more than enough to publish a journal thicker than the "History Of 11Lands".
A bitter silence embraced them.
"Do you know the whereabouts of Kans?" Sanaya asked regaining her composure.
"You are still not giving up?" Helen replied masking her guilt.
"I would never ever give up, Helen it's not like I don't know anything, for the sake of this years old friendship I even turned a blind towards your dealings, but if you interfere with my connections, I may have to let our friendship down." Sanaya's tone was firm and decisive without a trace of previous warmth.
With that she immidiately turned her back and approached the castle in the front with hurried footsteps.
Despite the sorrow in her heart, Helen kept silent and closed her eyes as her once close friend's back seemingly glared at her.
Two pearl drops of tear sidded down her cheeks from those secret hiding eyes.
