Badshah Khan closed his eyes for a moment, scenes were playing in his mind.. he opened his eyes and started telling.. 'when I was six years old, my father took me to Hindustan, he used to trade dry fruits..my father used to trade in the Gupta empire.. that time emperor Surya Gupta was ruling the Gupta empire.. we reached Indra Prastha-the capital city of the Gupta empire.. emperor Surya Gupta recently constructed few settlements for traders who came from far off.. we registered ourselves with the trade union of the Gupta empire.. we were alloted a room.., we rested for the night.. the next day was the day of market.. we reached the Market place.. I helped my dad and then saw few kids playing.. I asked my dad and went over to play with them.. I too started playing a game of marbles with them.. suddenly there was a berserk bull that came running towards our group.. it was twenty yards away.. everyone of us were frozen with shock.. suddenly we heard a horse neighing.. a man jumped down the horse and jumped before the bull.. he held on to the bull's horns and stopped it.. the bull tried to throw off the man with his horns multiple times.. but it could not.. the man managed to tame the bull... a group of men came and took the bull away.. many common people in the market went and greeted him addressing him as 'majesty' my father came near me, the man came towards our group and asked, 'kids, are you all ok? ' everyone replied, 'we are alright your majesty.. ' I was looking at my dad, he came forward and said, 'your majesty.. thank you for saving my son.. ' the emperor came and put his hand on my head and said, 'what is your name son? ' I said, 'Badshah Khan' he said, 'you will have a long life.. ' and blessed me.. that day my father told me, 'son, you are a Pathan.. you need to repay the favour of the emperor.. you need to help him whenever he will be in need.. ' that one line spoken by my father.. I have never forgotten....now Mir-Al-Zaffar the tyrant has targeted Hindustan.. they don't know anything about him.. about his army.. about his background.. I am going to Hindustan to help them face him.. to repay the gratitude of the great emperor Surya Gupta.. ' he said
The chief heard everything and said, 'son you are going for a good cause. may Allah be with you during your journey..! '
Benazir too heard the story.. this Pathan was so much bound to the words of his father.. he was going on a strenuous journey to repay his gratitude.. how exceptional was his character..
She was moved by his morality.. so was her grand father.. the chief of this settlement..
Khan and the chief finished their dinner and went out of the tent.. Benazir called her grand father inside.. she spoke to him for five minutes and went out of the tent.. she looked at Badshah Khan with a smile and walked towards her tent..
The chief came out and looked at Badshah Khan.. he smiled and said, 'Khan.. you need to postpone your journey.. ' Badshah Khan looked surprised, he said, 'chief.. what happened? '
The chief said, 'Benazir, my grand child.. she lost her parents early during her childhood.. I brought her up.. she is a free spirited child.. many men came to ask her hand.. both from my settlement as well as from outside... few rich and noble men who stayed with us as guests said that they would do anything for her.. none of them could catch her eye.. you did.. '
