บท 53: RECONCILIATION

Nindya were bedded in her room. Worry faces appeared beside her bed, one by one.
It took almost an hour for her to awake. The first person she saw was Jack which busy with something put in her hand.
" What is it, Jack ?"
" Relax mother, I just tried to measure your vital sign. This is a blood pressure monitor."
" Huh?"
" It told us you must care about yourself. Seems like you had hypertension."
" Huh?" Nindya put a dumb face.
" I mean that your blood pressure is too high. Normal people should have pressure 120-80. But you had 179-108. This is called high blood pressure or hypertension. It's very dangerous because it can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Left uncontrolled, you may wind up with a disability, a poor quality of life or even a fatal heart attack."
" No ! I don't want that !"
" Roughly half the people with untreated hypertension die of heart disease related to poor blood flow and another third die of stroke."
" Did someone cursed me or attack me using black magic ?"
" No, mother."
" So, what's the cause ?"
" We both know mother, there were so many things happened recently. It seems you're thinking it too much. This is not good because it will lead to stress. Stress is not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. But too much stress may contribute to increased blood pressure. Also, too much stress can encourage behaviors that increase blood pressure, such as an unhealthy diet. A diet that is too high in salt consumption, as well as calories, saturated and trans fat and sugar, carries an additional risk of high blood pressure. On the other hand, making healthy food choices can actually help lower blood pressure."
Nindya released a heavy sigh.
" You're right. I bear too many things alone. It can't be helped. What you called as stress and a healthy diet were something that magic cannot do."
" I believe the case of Cargeo who suddenly become Meyrlion's wife was the one most shocked you. Do you feel something hard to the ancestor or another deceased family member?"
" Of course I had. How come I received her, after knowing that she had killed many members of our family ?"
" Even it will cost of losing another grandchild? "
" You don't know what I feel Jack!"
" True, but what would you say to this baby? This baby is innocent, am I right?"
" You right, Jack, but.."
" Mother, Cargeo is just a mere servant of those two nobles. Without their commands, she will not commit any murdered. I know, it will be hard to be received, but that's true.
You are free to judge her guilty and sentence her to death, but that's mean that we will lose some crucial information key, which lies within her memories.
Can you imagine how shocked are they if they know that their ex-assassin were to live with us now? If I were her ex-employer, I will be so scared about your revenge through her.
Obviously, if her current status were exposed, she will be in great danger. Someone from her ex-employer will try to kill her."
Nindya sighed.
It took a week for Nindya to overcome her grief, anger, and confusion. Sometimes she spent the time by discussing those things with Jack, sometimes she interviews Cargeo herself.
" Mother in law.." Cargeo presented her greeting to Nindya.
Nindya nodded.
" Cargeo..."
" Yes, mother in law.."
" What makes you quit your previous job ?"
" Because I feel tired to kill just for someones' order. I get bored. Every night when I close my eyes, I heard them, the death scream of my victims. I got hallucination of them everywhere I go. They cursed me in their tomb. I can see them everywhere. I could hear them anytime. I could not differentiate between reality or not. I feel my sanity slowly fade away. I'm tired. So they fired me. Then I completely quit."
" Seem like you've got a mental problem, am I correct ?"
" Yes, mother.."
" Do you still experienced those kind illusions ?"
" Seems like it had stopped recently."
" Since when ?"
" Since..... coincidentally I slept ... with Meyrlion and I lost my chastity due to his."
" Do you hate my son ?"
" I should hate him, but ... strangely I am not."

" I don't take a half-hearted words." Nindya scold her mercilessly.

Nindya released a heavy sigh.
" How can you say that you had bear Merlion's baby ? It had not reach three months after both of you done it."

Nindya shed a tear for a moment.

" Yes, mother. I already aware. I my self had live longer than him. Despite my young looks, I already reach seventy years old for a normal human. It was equivalent with long ear race in the age of seventeen."
Sigh!
Nindya released another heavy sigh.
" Listen. I need proof of your words before."
" I'll be glad to fulfill your wish, mother."
" Could you take a vow that you will never associate yourself with your past anymore?"
She stood up and make a proper stance, " I vow that I will never associate myself with my past anymore."
" You should take a vow that you will revoke any loyalty from your past, from your previous masters and to put all of your loyalty into Titan Family."
" I vow that you will revoke any loyalty from my past, from my previous masters and to put all of your loyalty into Titan Family. I will atone all my sins to this family."
" Don't you mind I put anti betrayal seal in your body? You'll never be able to betray Titan Family, especially me. You also would never able to go against me."
" Pretty please, Mother in law. I am willing to receive your cursed." She got down on her knees now.
Nindya put her palms in her head and her heart. A moment later a magical circle full of sigil shine in red appears, then slowly faded into her body.
Zring.
" Now, bring me all the masterminds behind the murder case of Titans' Family members. I do not care about your method."
