Even though he didn't like people who are not prepared for any situation, it does not change the fact that he did not give Anna much time to prepare herself. All in all, Anna is not the one who he is disappointed at, he's disappointed at himself for being impulsive in his decision.

"There is no need to be that stiff, Anna."

When Anna heard that, she flinched. She expected him to speak, but she is surprised to hear him be the first one to start the conversation.

"I'm sorry to have you meet with me all this way." He said, and that made Anna look at him in a daze. She never would have thought Elijah Robertson would be apologizing to her today.
